Obama's Seventieth Week in Office

The List" for 5/27/2010

May 27, 2010: Obama holds first press conference since July 22, 2009

Rep. Joe Sestak said that his brother has spoken with White House officials about the congressman's allegation that he was offered an Obama administration job if he would stay out of a Democratic Senate primary.

An e-mail from Rep. Darrell Issa's (R-Calif.) campaign suggested Wednesday that the controversy over Rep. Joe Sestak's (D-Pa.) alleged administration job offer could be President Barack Obama's Watergate scandal.

Obama said Thursday that the White House is preparing to issue a formal explanation regarding the allegation that it offered Rep. Joe Sestak a job to drop out of the Democratic primary race against Sen. Arlen Specter.

Obama insisted Thursday that critics of the federal government’s response to the oil spill in the gulf “don’t know the facts.”

Obama and Emanuel: members of same gay bath house club in Chicago?  Obama began frequenting Man’s Country in the mid-1990s, during the time he transitioned from a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School to his election as an Illinois State Senator in 1996. Man’s Country appears to be a “one stop shopping” center for gay men. The club’s website advertises steam rooms, “fantasy rooms,” bed rooms, male strippers, adult movies, and lockers. However, Man’s Country was not the only location for Obama’s predatory gay sex activities. The Chicago gay community is aware that Obama often made contacts with younger men at his famous “pick-up basketball” games. It was at these “pick up” matches where Obama first met Emanuel and a young Democratic campaign worker and senior bank vice president named Alexi Giannoulias.

That might be the WH strategy, but I think it's going to backfire. Clinton has no authority to offer such a position...and if he did it at the "behest" of the WH...then who in the WH was the person doing the behesting? It just shoves the issue a slightly different direction...but it doesn't resolve the problem for Obama.

Fox.com headline says it was Rahm Emmanuel who asked Clinton to talk to Sestak. If Rahm was involved it seems very likely Obama was as well. This very well could be Obama's Watergate...although it's obvious the media will not pursue it the same given that it's a democrat who appears to have committed the crime.
