Polar bear population could fall by 30 per cent in a year: study (This is Hugh!)

A mathematical analysis for the first time has uncovered the prospect of a sudden, dramatic decline among Canadian polar bears as they starve to death.

“This is much, much different. This is not a gradual change,” said Dr. Andrew Derocher, one of the world’s leading polar bear authorities and co-author of the study. “We’re looking at a decrease by 20 or 30 per cent or even much more in a year.”

Can’t Acorn come up with some government program for these bears? They can bribe potential Democrat votes in the strangest places.

Now it could be a statement about an Obama economy.

Polar bear population declining in Canada but increasing in Alaska (last I heard). Did all of their food migrate to the U.S.?

Lets see, a predator species that has recently flourished and overpopulated, overhunts it's range and begins to starve. Nope, that never happened in the history of the world before.

I know ONE way to help the bears in their pitiful plight. Take the lying pantload who wrote that drivel and FEED HIM to the polar bears. Or not! Bears might not care to eat something that is 98% bull feces, as this guy surely is!

Here’s the BAD news! We are ALL going to be extinct. Some of us probably faster than we think. Polar bears gone? So what. The world going to end? Doubt it. Species and genera come and go. We’re all just a flush away from the final swirl!

A 30% decrease from their 300% increase over the past few years would probably be a normal correction.

That said, just about anything COULD happen. And why 30%? Why not 25% or 35%?

More BSS.

I accuse Dr. Andrew Derocher of being a fraud. He bills himself as a “Polar Bear” scientist (biologist) and sells “experiences” studying the polar bears. You can bet that he would receive zero research dollars if he reported that polar bear populations are growing. Of course, they are growing, so he does not claim that they are not, Instead,he claims that the “fragmentation of ice” will cause their population to collapse. Note, their population has not collapsed. Fragmentation of ice is a meaningless phrase that cannot describe what is going on with arctic ice. Arctic ice is doing what is has always done, growing in winter and shrinking in summer. Differences in ice pack can be explained by variations in wind and currents, not by temperature changes.

These idiot biologists are the most rabid of the global warming nutcases.

This is the Obama Peace Prize for white bears.

The article actually states polar bears are at their highest number in 50 years, but computer projections indicate their number might soon decline.

Humans have had a long, long, long relationship with wolves. I'm not advocating selling them nukes, but if they evolve thumbs, I'm all for selling them pointy sticks.

Bears, not so much, the relationship has been rather one-way, and humans are generally on the menu.

I know, canine preference, and ursine discrimination, but 30,000 years is a long time. I'm rooting for the wolves.

Polar Bear biologist at the University of Alberta. Its the only gig that this idiot has, and if he were to admit that the population was growing, his gig might end. So, he hangs his hat on some lame brained computer model that claims if pigs were butterflys, polar bears would be in deep doo doo. What is really amazing is the numbers of earth muffins who continue to sign up for his polar bear safaris. This guy clearly understands that there's a fool born every minute.

I’m thinking a polar bear Czar may be needed here: Give them a government `paw-up’, re-locate a few couples to Antarctica so they can re-build their lives, give them small business loans, some section VIII federal guaranteed housing, seal stamps, and they’ll be right as rain. Or snow.

The story, not a science based study, is by an environmental group that bases its belief off of global warming trend analysis of our Climate Gate Gang of Hockey Stick Players.

The main foundation of their fantasy is a reduced living area of the polar bears. That is turning around this year.

The earth is heading into a solar minimum or a mini-ice age based on sunspot activity models from 1600 to 1830.

My work is at nationalforestlawblog.com Oct Newsletter under my name.

Sincerely,

Paul Pierett

...one of the world’s leading polar bear authorities...

Universities are full of these people.

They have the time to do this "research" because they don't have real jobs.

They present these "studies" that extrapolate data based on probability and statistics to come to some "conclusion." These "conclusions" are based on GUESSES for many variables that are unknown. The conclusions have a probability attached to them. The variables they guessed at can steer the probability high or low depending on the sensitivities.

It is important to note they do not tell us the probability of this mass polar bear death event. I'd bet it is very very low.

In short, these studies are MEANINGLESS because they are simply probable predictions with less weight than a prediction I will win the next Powerball Lottery jackpot.
