A mathematical analysis for the first time has uncovered the prospect of a sudden, dramatic decline among Canadian polar bears as they starve to death.
“This is much, much different. This is not a gradual change,” said Dr. Andrew Derocher, one of the world’s leading polar bear authorities and co-author of the study. “We’re looking at a decrease by 20 or 30 per cent or even much more in a year.”

Polar bear population declining in Canada but increasing in Alaska (last I heard). Did all of their food migrate to the U.S.?

I know ONE way to help the bears in their pitiful plight. Take the lying pantload who wrote that drivel and FEED HIM to the polar bears. Or not! Bears might not care to eat something that is 98% bull feces, as this guy surely is!
Here’s the BAD news! We are ALL going to be extinct. Some of us probably faster than we think. Polar bears gone? So what. The world going to end? Doubt it. Species and genera come and go. We’re all just a flush away from the final swirl!
On a similar note, the giant sloth population is also declining and may disappear soon due to global warming.
If you believe in evolution, then you will believe that life will evolve and continue and new species will arise to replace the old.
A 30% decrease from their 300% increase over the past few years would probably be a normal correction.
That said, just about anything COULD happen. And why 30%? Why not 25% or 35%?

I accuse Dr. Andrew Derocher of being a fraud. He bills himself as a “Polar Bear” scientist (biologist) and sells “experiences” studying the polar bears. You can bet that he would receive zero research dollars if he reported that polar bear populations are growing. Of course, they are growing, so he does not claim that they are not, Instead,he claims that the “fragmentation of ice” will cause their population to collapse. Note, their population has not collapsed. Fragmentation of ice is a meaningless phrase that cannot describe what is going on with arctic ice. Arctic ice is doing what is has always done, growing in winter and shrinking in summer. Differences in ice pack can be explained by variations in wind and currents, not by temperature changes.
These idiot biologists are the most rabid of the global warming nutcases.
