This is looking more like the Watergate cover-up with each passing hour. (And we know how that ended.) Yeah, but the press wasn't giving Nixon a Lewinsky on a daily basis.
This will blow over by next weekend.

Is it possible that Billy is setting BO up to be impeached, thereby opening doors for Hillary's candidacy in 2012.
BO IS ignorant...Clinton’s will do anything to accomplish their desires.

Maybe hes trying to set up a defense that he was out of the loop on everything. That would actually be a valid defense for the empty suit. Obama enjoys the perks of being President while his puppet masters run the show. They sent him to Chicago to get him out of the way while they figure out other ways to implement Ingsoc.

No, they didn’t use the words ‘bribe attempt’. They called it offering “alternative paths to service.”

I didn’t think of a set-up for impeachment, but DrO and I talked about Clinton telling O that he would step-in to save his butt with the understanding that he wouldn’t run in 2012.

Oh, did anyone see Newt on Hannity’s tonight?
Newt thinks the Clinton conversation is a diversion for the real red meat conversation that took place later with Rahm where the actual JOB offer was made...

"CNN's John King reported that a White House source told him Barack Obama was kept in the dark about the bribe attempt until "recent days."
So, the progressive left thinks they're going to throw Rahm and Bill under the bus?
Somebody needs to put Sestak under oath, then follow the trail.
Rahm and Bill will not go to jail to protect Obama.

The next step should be asking Gibbs during the next presser if he can state as fact there were no phone calls or emails to Sestak (or his brother, the lawyer) from the Oval Office or the office of any other WHite House Official.
Who will be the next Deep Throat?
To: tioga
Clinton loves the drama and he is an accomplished wordsmith and liar. Hillary is the SoS and that doesn’t bode well at all. Clinton should have kept his nose out of it.
That’s why I tend to agree with Newt; that Clinton’s story is a diversion.
The red meat phone call came after Clinton’s.
Put Sestak under oath and ask him about the other phone calls.
He’s the weak link.

Even more reason to get control in 2010. In January the new Congress can subpoena Sestak and place him under oath. DOJ and this Congress will continue to stonewall.
Sestak will not lie to protect Zero or Clintoon.

Maybe it’s time for Rahm to take one for the boss. If it gets hot enough I’m sure he would do it, except for that pesky matter of the law.
Was a crime committed? I don’t know, but if there was a criminal violation it changes everything.

It may be looking more and more like a Watergate scandal but there is one VERY important difference. Back then the press hated Nixon so much that each and every day was a new adventure in breathless journalism.
The current occupant of the Oval Office is still beloved by those that malpractice the art of journalist. Although, 300 days between formal pressers will tend to piss-off that crowd and could tilt things in America’s favor.

Obama is just the teleprompter reader, so why would anyone expect that they’re telling him anything? You think the Carnie Barker knows whether the circus is making or losing money, or how much the circus help is being paid? Of coursenot; the Barker is just the front man. Just like Obama.
