Israel offered a vigorous defense Monday amidst a rapidly deepening international dispute over its deadly overnight raid on a flotilla of ships carrying aid bound for Gaza.
Under pressure from even its allies over the incident that killed at least nine people, Israel’s Deputy U.N. Ambassador Daniel Carmon took to the floor of the international body to fire back against the idea that the ships were peaceful, unarmed and humanitarian.
“What kind of peace activists use knives, clubs and fire from weapons stolen from soldiers...to attack soldiers to attack soldiers who board a ship in accordance with international law?,” he asked.
"They are not peace activists; They are not messengers of good will. They cynically use a humanitarian platform to send a message of hate and to implement violence," he added.
Israeli commandos attacked a Gaza-bound aid flotilla Monday carrying 10,000 tons of aid destined for the blockaded Gaza Strip. The Israeli military said seven soldiers were wounded, one of them seriously.

Thank you for the ping, and the quote. I had read the crew (NOT PASSENGERS, BTW), but the CREW had lain in wait for these soldiers. One of the IDF soldiers was stabbed in the stomach, and several more were taken to other hospitals. Sounds to me like they were ambushed when checking the boat. NOT a peaceful action - no doubt about it.

I’ve been hoping the Queen of England would do something... No doubt there are files regarding him due to his Grandfather, and Father seeing as they were going up against the Brits in Kenya. Even just some kind of record that proves he had British Citizenship at birth would be a good start!
So, either Queen Elizabeth - or the Mossad as you already mentioned - someone has files on this guy. SOMEONE knows who he is, and it’s time to release the records.
The thing I worry about is this — it would be a bad enough time in this country if the records were released by our allies just because of people’s reactions. It would be 100xs WORSE if the records (which no doubt even Russia and China know more about than us citizens) were released by an enemy at some strategic point in the future to maximize confusion and usher in panic... Like right before a strike against us.
Which is exactly why the American public NOT knowing the truth and settling it is such a big mistake. The Israeli troops were boarding the vessel to perform a LEGAL inspection when they were attacked by the crew and passengers.
They defended themselves, and this has been spun as "an Israeli attack on a humanitarian vessel".
Actually they should have been better armed even without there being any guns on board. The idea of commandos dropping into a sea of club-wielding nuts or ‘peace-activists’(as evidenced in the youtube video) is absurd. There is no real answer to being outnumbered at close range and the IDF planners should have realized that. The best way to avoid being clubbed at close range before you can even draw any weapon is to not be there in the first place. What happened to those days of stealthily boarding a ship, I always figured that was the commando-MO. With an escalating war on all fronts and reduced support from the US (thank you Barry), this is not the best time for the IDF to be getting stupider...
