(CNSNews.com) -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says she believes she must pursue public policies "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh."
Pelosi, who is a Catholic and who favors legalized abortion, voted against the ban on partial-birth abortion that was enacted into law in 2003.
At a May 6 Catholic Community Conference on Capitol Hill, the speaker said: “They ask me all the time, ‘What is your favorite this? What is your favorite that? What is your favorite that?’ And one time, ‘What is your favorite word?’ And I said, ‘My favorite word? That is really easy. My favorite word is the Word, is the Word. And that is everything. It says it all for us. And you know the biblical reference, you know the Gospel reference of the Word.”

I could not agree with the Speaker more. She is absolutely correct.
SHE needs to get out there and feed the hungry, from her own kitchen and her own bank account.
SHE needs to teach others the humble, self-sacrificing lessons of Jesus, both by word and by deed.
SHE needs to house and cloth the needy, take care of widows and orphans, out of her own time and purse.
SHE needs to welcome little children, including those yet to be born but unwanted.
SHE needs to quit asking the government to do HER job for her and expecting us to pay for HER negligence.
Does she mean values like You shall have no other gods before Me, You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, Honor your father and your mother, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor, and You shall not covet?
You know, the ones about which Jesus said not a jot or tiddle would be removed?
Look at her policies. EVERY ONE is an assault on the commandments of God. Giving somebody else’s money to the poor, for instance, is stealing. Abortion and euthanasia are murder. Everything about the stinking political process is bearing false witness. The whole entitlement mentality is based on coveting. Gay marriage, marriage tax penalty, etc are all geared towards weakening the institution of marriage. Making government the almighty provider to be trusted, served, and worshipped is idolatry.
The morality of Jesus was never about government policies forcing people to “act Christian”. The morality of Jesus was about living God’s will within the structure of the Lord’s commands. His morality was about living a life even HOLIER than the basic adherence to the outer dictates of the regulatory codes.
I hate it when people who, quite frankly, don’t know the Lord try to speak as if they are Him.
This is clearly a case of he statement not making the translation from speech to the written word. She actually said she wanted to lead according to the values of Jesus, but that's Jesus pronounced "hey-seus".
