Deported Felon Arrested After Standoff at Taco Shop

ORANGE -- A 17 year old deported felon is under arrest after a 5 hour standoff Wednesday at an Orange County taco shop.
The teen was found hiding in a crawl space above the ceiling of his family's taco restaurant on Glassell Street and Collins Avenue in Orange just after 3:00 p.m.
It all began around 9:30 a.m. when police say the teen ran from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.
The ICE agent was attempting to arrest the man, who had been previously deported because of drug and weapon offenses, when he fled, according to Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams.

I curious how the kid can be illegal, but the parents legal since it is usually the other way around. Or does it mean they haven't caught them in a felony yet?
