Fiorina, al-Mansour and the World Economic Forum (Whoa Nelly)
CFP ^ | 6/1/10 | JB WIlliams

Posted on 06/01/2010 9:20:53 PM PDT by pissant

When Mr. McAmnesty (John McCain) morphed overnight into Mr. Border Security, under fire from Arizona conservatives fed up with the death and destruction flooding across its southern border, there was no great shock and nobody was in awe…

When Tea Party princess Sarah Palin paid her political debt by endorsing former running mate Mr. McAmnesty for re-election to the US Senate, Tea Partiers’ were upset, but not surprised.

But when Palin endorsed California candidate Carly Fiorina, running against Barbara Boxer, people were forced to ask who Palin is taking marching orders from these days…

Fiorina is famous for her “Fiorina’s Folly” that got her tossed from Hewlett Packard. A disaster not yet fully realized. But to those who follow behind-the-scenes politics, she is famous for much more disturbing news. Fiorina has friends in LOW places…

Carly Fiorina (aka Cara Carleton Sneed) sits on the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, a United Nations organization responsible for shoving nations around the world into global governance. - “The World Economic Forum Global Redesign Summit ended with concerns that the post-crisis zeal for reforming the global system may be waning.”

The effect of this revelation about Fiorina has been blunted somewhat by the fact that many Californians have already cast their primary ballots.

Looks like implications that Fiorina is part of the Illuminati. Plus another cheap shot at Palin (re. Princess).

Why don’t you would be conservatives direct your venom at Boxer. Even if Fiorina is CFR/Trilateral/Rothschilds/Bilderbergs, et.al, she is likely to win the GOP nod. In spite of your noble objectives, the lesser of evils is frequently a choice that must be made. The continued diatribes against her do not serve the cause of Devore or conservatism but they are certainly helpful to Boxer.

The bottom line - If Devore can’t win (and it certainly appears that he can’t), do you prefer Boxer, Campbell, or Fiorina? Or do you plan to sit it out for the re-election of a bona fide flaming liberal socialist Boxer?

If I were a resident of CA, like many of you, I would probably vote for Devore based on the information at hand, but the continuous cheap shots at Fiorina (and more subtly at Palin) are getting old and are reminiscent of activities that I would expect from left-wingers like Olbermann and Matthews.

CARLY FIORINA
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA
SEPTEMBER 26, 2001
“TECHNOLOGY, BUSINESS AND OUR WAY OF LIFE: WHAT’S NEXT”

EXCERPT:

There was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world.

It was able to create a continental super-state that stretched from ocean to ocean, and from northern climes to tropics and deserts. Within its dominion lived hundreds of millions of people, of different creeds and ethnic origins.

One of its languages became the universal language of much of the world, the bridge between the peoples of a hundred lands. Its armies were made up of people of many nationalities, and its military protection allowed a degree of peace and prosperity that had never been known. The reach of this civilization’s commerce extended from Latin America to China, and everywhere in between.

And this civilization was driven more than anything, by invention. Its architects designed buildings that defied gravity. Its mathematicians created the algebra and algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the creation of encryption. Its doctors examined the human body, and found new cures for disease. Its astronomers looked into the heavens, named the stars, and paved the way for space travel and exploration.

Its writers created thousands of stories. Stories of courage, romance and magic. Its poets wrote of love, when others before them were too steeped in fear to think of such things.

When other nations were afraid of ideas, this civilization thrived on them, and kept them alive. When censors threatened to wipe out knowledge from past civilizations, this civilization kept the knowledge alive, and passed it on to others.

While modern Western civilization shares many of these traits, the civilization I’m talking about was the Islamic world from the year 800 to 1600, which included the Ottoman Empire and the courts of Baghdad, Damascus and Cairo, and enlightened rulers like Suleiman the Magnificent.

Although we are often unaware of our indebtedness to this other civilization, its gifts are very much a part of our heritage. The technology industry would not exist without the contributions of Arab mathematicians. Sufi poet-philosophers like Rumi challenged our notions of self and truth. Leaders like Suleiman contributed to our notions of tolerance and civic leadership.

And perhaps we can learn a lesson from his example: It was leadership based on meritocracy, not inheritance. It was leadership that harnessed the full capabilities of a very diverse population–that included Christianity, Islamic, and Jewish traditions.

This kind of enlightened leadership — leadership that nurtured culture, sustainability, diversity and courage — led to 800 years of invention and prosperity.

In dark and serious times like this, we must affirm our commitment to building societies and institutions that aspire to this kind of greatness. More than ever, we must focus on the importance of leadership– bold acts of leadership and decidedly personal acts of leadership.

With that, I’d like to open up the conversation and see what we, collectively, believe about the role of leadership

This is a primary, btw. It's pubbie vs pubbie and dem vs dem. Plenty of time for gen election stuff after the primary. Of course, the primary last time straddled us with the sure fire loser named McAmnesty. So it's possible we may be stuck with the equally embarrassing spectacle of Fiorina.

So you are saying that Palin is a fraud? I don’t need education about conservatism. I worked for the election of Barry Goldwater - the ORIGINAL conservative. But being a right winger doesn’t make me a hater.

Your crusade against Fiorina (and Palin because she supported her) is divisive and not helpful to conservatism.

If you worked for Barry Goldwater, than you more than anybody ought to know about RINO malfeasance. The Rockefeller wing HATED Goldwater and didn’t vote for him either. Stabbed in the back. Just like the 1960s versions of Charlie Crist, Fiorina, Mccain, and Specter. So buck up and support the Reagan/Goldwater conservative, Chuck Devore, not some mealy mouthed liar.

Al-Mansour is an outspoken hater of the United States, Israel, and white people generally. In recent years he has accused the U.S. of plotting a “genocide” designed “to remove 15 million black people, considered disposable, of no relevance, value or benefit to the American society.” He has told fellow blacks that “whatever you do to [white people], they deserve it, God wants you to do it and that’s when you cut out the nose, cut out the ears, take flesh out of their body, don’t worry because God wants you to do it.” Alleging further that Palestinians in Israel “are being brutalized like savages,” he accuses the Jews of “stealing the land the same way the Christians stole the land from the Indians in America.”

I posted that to the thread announcing Sarah’s support for Fiorina back awhile ago and was just about to do a search for it again. Thanks for saving me the trouble.
Carly Fiorina is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her. She and Boxer travel in the same circle of lowlifes.

I agree to some extent. It would have been great if Mr. Williams would have got the article out before any ballots had been cast, but I’m not sure it would have mattered with a lot of voters.
