Netanyahu: This was No Love Boat

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed the Israeli public on live television at 8:00 p.m. Israel time, regarding the attempt by a terror-sympathizers' flotilla to break the blockade of Hamas-controlled Gaza.

"This was no Love Boat,” he said. “This was a boat of hatred. It was a terror-supporting flotilla”

"The state of Israel faces an international campaign of hypocrisy,” Netanyahu said. “This is not the first time. Two years ago, we operated against the missiles that Hamas fired against Israel. Hamas fired at civilians and hid behind civilians. The IDF operated against Hamas in an effort to avoid hitting innocent civilians. Despite this, the UN accused Israel of war crimes and regretfully, I must say that this is what is happening now too."

If it's true that all medicines on board were expired and the medical equipment was broken, then it wasn't even an aid ship.

I'm with Israel on this one. My only criticism is that they didn't wait until the flotilla was in Israeli waters, but after the flotilla continued to run the clearly stated directives to turn back, all bets were off. If knives and pipes were used to attack those Seals boarding, then let's not get our shorts in a knot because the Seals punched back. When I saw the “peaceniks” throw the man overboard after gutting him, and another overboard right afterward (per earliest reports and video), I'm thinking it's time for self-preservation to ascend and let's clean house. No more Miss Nice Guy.

Just another note, had the Israelis tried to run a Palestinian road block when required to turn back, then pulled weapons on the Palestinians Police who were armed with tasers, I’d say the same thing. It’s rule of law and the right for a country to defend its borders and protect its people. Israel’s defense is the number of rockets they absorb every single day of the year without considering it an act of war and taking action. If somebody launched a rocket that landed in my yard or on my house, it’s time to open a can of whoop-ass.

Dear BiBi - dead men tell no tales.

Ask the Armenians if they appreciated the Turks “help”.

Your troops exhibited too much restraint.

PS...when the SS Rachel Corrie arrives, I hope it’s met with floating bulldozers.

"My only criticism is that they didn't wait until the flotilla was in Israeli waters . . .

Just to give everyone insight to this matter of international waters. This was a naval blockade of the Gaza. It is perfectly legal to intercept ships in international waters when it for the purpose of enforcing a legal blockade. Israel had every right to exact such a blockade because those same ships would be used to carry missiles to be used to destroy the Jews.

Thank you. My understanding of the 3-mile rule was wrong, apparently. I should have thought back to the Cuban missile crisis, though. We were definitely in international water when we put up the blockade for the Russian ships. Funny how when it’s us, we didn’t squeal so loudly, did we? Rhetorical, no reply required.
