Yes, all knives of any kind and table forks and canes need to be outlawed. That way the outlaws with guns will have absolutley nothing to fear.

"Anyone who does have a gun should have a psychological assessment each year." Just like the Soviet Union. People who want freedom are "mentally ill."

“In the UK, applicants for gun licences are interviewed by the police or firearms licensing authority before they acquire a weapon. Licence holders must provide doctors reports, disclose any criminal convictions and state why they want a gun, a process that takes about eight weeks.”
Sadly, this would be a major improvement over where I live on Long Island. The UK process sounds similar, but our wait here is around 6 months. (Howver, the gang members down the street can get their guns in record time...)

The problem with gun control as a crime deterrent is that eventually you run out of legally owned guns to blame.

Just because someone is a “military hero”, doesn't necessarily indicate they possess the ability to think clearly and rationally . Look at that camouflaged jackass mcloon for example.
Of course since he's a military man and opposed to his fellow britans being free, he'll be lauded by the usual suspects as they use him to advance the socialist wet dream of completely disarmed subjects under absolute rule by their betters.
The man needs to be placed in a situation where he faces losing everything he holds dear all for the lack of a weapon to defend it. Then the fool might start thinking clearly.

For me, that ad was an absolutely joyful journey to a far better period of American history than these present days of liberal craven cowardice and crippling political correctness.
I suspect the same ad would cause the average hoplophobe Brit or liberal American to suffer recurring night terrors. For them, it's bad enough to suggest that young boys might benefit from owning and using firearms. But the last panel--making a living crow their target--well, that's downright satanic.
Meanwhile the fatherless amoral brood of failed liberal policies rules the inner cities and engages in nonstop murder and mayhem the police are powerless to stop.

To bad Britian didnt have this kind of gun control in 1776, if it had it would still control the Colonies. (sarc) They tried that. That's what Lexington and Concorde were all about.
Didn't turn out well for them that time either.

Brits were enslaved a very long time ago...when their right to keep and bear arms was taken away. And now the left keeps on going. No wonder Islamic nuts can take over the country. Defenseless people are VERY easy prey.

And yet in the UK, ownership of fresh fruit is completely uncontrolled\

They sure do. They need to remove all the regulations on gun ownership, and begin importing guns immediately. If this guy had done this in the US, there would have have been a great likelihood that he would have been stopped by an armed citizen someplace along the line. Unless of course, he did it in some liberal “gun-free” state....
