The National Archives has announced that about 46,500 pages of documents from Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan’s four years of service in the Clinton White House will go online at 1 p.m. E.T. Friday, providing a fresh trove of information for Kagan’s supporters and opponents to pore through in search of ammunition for her confirmation hearings set to start later this month.

White House counsel Bob Bauer indicated in a letter last month that Kagan’s work as a lawyer and policy adviser for President Bill Clinton generated about 160,000 pages of material, including 80,000 pages of paper documents and 79,000 pages of e-mails sent or received.

Does anybody else suspect these pp have been prescreened, and anything really incriminating weeded out?

46,500 (why the even number?) out of 160,000(again...why the even number?)? Did she enjoy writing documents to the even hundred, or thousand?

Gimme a break. This is nothing more than a show....

Why not release ALL of her documents?

So, may we presume that the other 120,000 documents show that she is guilty as hell?

The article uses the qualifier “about,” in both instances.

It did seem like a no brainer, didn’t it? That, plus the fact it’s taken them so long to release them. My guess is we won’t know the true extent of her lefty weirdness until it’s too late. Unless Sessions comes through for us—go Pete!

It’s not 18 minutes of a missing office recording that she has—it’s 18,000 pages of missing document pages!

The Republicans just don’t seem to play it smart. I can envision, were the roles reversed, the Dems insisting on an independent observer, to make sure the information came out in its fullest and most useful form. But then of course they have the MSM at their back. Oh well.

I wonder if she is related to Lazar Kaganovitch - Stalin’s right-hand man?

Document dump. Someone should have told them they didn't need to release these documents on a Friday. Rush Limbaugh is busy with his wedding this weekend.

46,500 pages of “bland crap nobody cares about”

plus

113,500 pages of “OMG we can't let them see that or she'll never be confirmed”

equals

160,000 pages total
