Associated Press | Chrysler is recalling nearly 35,000 Dodge Calibers in the United States and around the globe to fix a potential problem with sticky gas pedals, the same issue that has affected millions of Toyotas.
Chrysler says it will recall about 25,000 Calibers in the U.S. from the 2007 model year and a limited number of 2007 Jeep Compass SUVs to inspect those built between March and May of 2006.

The 2007 Dodge Caliber apparently has the same sticky gas pedal issue that has plagued Toyota. (Tribune file photo)
Ruh roh. They took bailout money!
Good thinking on husseins part. Sacrifice a car nobody wants or owns to make it look like this whole scam is on the up and up.
Should be banned just for the name. Remember Palin used the term targeting.
I don’t like either much but the caliber (didn’t even know it’s name before!) I like better than the neon, as well as the PT Cruiser, which was built on a neon frame and engine.
Nope, you were right with the Neon. Nothing like yearly head gasket failures to get your attention,.
The first, and only time I’ve corrected my boss, was to force her to get rid of that POS in favor of an SUV (needed in these snow parts), even though it cost me my jeep.
On the other hand, I didn’t have to push her out of the driveway, and sometimes up the dirt road, in the winter.
So, stick with the Neon as the first looser!
Hmmm, Toyota is ACCUSED of 2 stuck gas pedals and there is a Congressional investigation.
Dodge recalls 25,000 cars for gas pedal problems ... and nothing is said.
The names of a lot of new cars are really terrible.
I would like to propose names based on diseases and illnesses of the human body:
1. The Dodge Reflux.
2. The Chevy Polyp.
3. The Buick Roidmaster.
4. The Chrysler Alopecia.
5. The Pontiac STD.
I mean you can’t do much worse than the real names they’re giving their cars.
“Nope, you were right with the Neon. Nothing like yearly head gasket failures to get your attention,.”
The Neon’s predecessor was the Dodge Shadow, and my ‘94 also had the yearly head gasket failures.
Are they going to put a larger caliber accelerator pedal on it?
