(Obama's) Killing The Drilling

The Economy: As if the latest measly numbers on our jobless recovery weren't bad enough, along comes the administration to pile disaster upon disaster by slapping a six-month ban on deep-water drilling.

When President Obama visited Louisiana on May 1, he talked about the possibility that the oil gushing from BP's Deepwater Horizon well could "jeopardize the livelihoods of thousands of Americans who call this place home." Now the administration's response could jeopardize the livelihoods of tens of thousands more.

In a letter sent to Obama on Wednesday, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal challenged the president's decision to suspend deepwater drilling for six months while a presidential commission to which the buck has been passed tries to sort things out.

Expert- 25,000-80,000 Houston jobs at risk with new drilling restrictions

HOUSTON -- Houston's economy will be hit hard as the government puts new rules in place that will block all new offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, according to experts.

Dr. Lee Hunt, president of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, estimated Thursday the local job losses from the expanded moratorium on drilling, which includes both deepwater and shallow-water areas, would be in the tens of thousands. "From 25,000 to 80,000 people immediately," he said. "By immediately, I mean over a 90-day period."

Yeah, what ever happend to that "Superfund", anyway?

We have a damned good idea of "what", but not "where".

Not to worry, this is all going according to plan so they can declare a state of emergency once the economy collapses and demand we give them the power of Gods so they can “fix” the problem they created by further destruction of the capitalist economy.

We have a damned sure idea for what happened to the “Superfund”, but we don't know exactly where it went. Of course the media knows, but they are not going to risk their comfort zone by disclosing anything.

This not something an entire nation should suffer for and if drilling offshore stops the suffering will only start in Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. In months, when the balance begins to tip and others realize we do not have any means to dampen the market oil prices will skyrocket. obastard and his minions are intentionally destroying the economy and threatening the long term security of America.

What BP did is gross negligence. This is a once in several lifetimes event of just plain piss poor operations. They broke at least 19 standard oilfield practices. NOBODY else does this. This is not an accident and is not at all typical of the way things are done. It was at best BUNCH of blunders but more like a crime. BP has bred a culture of arrogance, independence and irresponsible operations guided by people who apparently don’t know much but process because they damn sure don’t know much about drilling. Believe me, they aren’t the best in the industry. A safety culture is no good without experience and standards that will not be violated. This disaster has been brewing for a long time.

Now would not be too soon for BP to disappear.

Things are bad in the Gulf and on the beaches now. In two years hardly a trace will remain. This is truly a press-made disaster and obastard is loving every minute of it. His minions are getting their tree hugging dreams fulfilled and he and his puppet masters are getting their dreams of a devastated America.

Come 'n listen to my story of a man named Barack
poor Kenyan kid spent the country into hock
And then one day while he was fundraisin', dude
well up from the Gulf came a bubblin' crude
(oil, that is. Pollutant, for SUVs)
Well the first thing you know, the folks began to stare
His pollsters said, "Barack! Stay away from there!"
They said to Chicago is the place that you should ride
so he got on Air Force One and he flew on up to Hyde
(Park, that is. Ex-terrorists, hate preachers.)

(The Washington Home-boys)

Cheers!
