The Economy: As if the latest measly numbers on our jobless recovery weren't bad enough, along comes the administration to pile disaster upon disaster by slapping a six-month ban on deep-water drilling.
When President Obama visited Louisiana on May 1, he talked about the possibility that the oil gushing from BP's Deepwater Horizon well could "jeopardize the livelihoods of thousands of Americans who call this place home." Now the administration's response could jeopardize the livelihoods of tens of thousands more.
In a letter sent to Obama on Wednesday, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal challenged the president's decision to suspend deepwater drilling for six months while a presidential commission to which the buck has been passed tries to sort things out.

True - he is bringing down the whole country. But Texas has been one of the least affected in the housing and job markets. They have been weathering the economic downturn pretty well.
Why is that BP was forced to drill 50 miles offshore in 5,000 feet of water? Because environmentalists and Democrats won’t let them drill in ANWR on dry land oe exploit our shale deposits rich in oiL and natural gas. Spills there are manageable. But nooooooo! Who was the largest recipient of BP campaign cash? Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmm mmmm mmmm. Maybe Greenpeace and the Sierra Club can clean up the tar balls they helped create.

I just saw a Ph.D. from LSU say that bio-remediation using microbes to eat the oil could clean up the mess in six weeks.
This all sounds too good to be true, but I hope it will be.

The plan from 1994 was not used as it would interfer with obama’s green agenda. I believe that there needs to be a non-government investigation into the “accident” obama “luck “ with this happening just after he says that we might start drilling again is unusual if not strange. obama “luck” is like a person drawing six aces in a five card stud game. Something smells!!
He wants all the drilling to move to the African coast.
He will only foul up the country, economy, foreign policy, whatever, for as long as people continue to tolerate his incompetence, aloof/arrogant BS, and lack of a job.
I’m pretty sure he’s exhausted all of the bullets from his election, wrecking the economic health of the US for decades is not something the voting public will ignore.

Yup, anything to destroy the economy. My sister who lives in Florida said this is already affecting the economy of all the Southern states. She says the word on the street is there's plenty of oil at the 150-200 foot level but the EPA would not give leases closer to shore (at these depths), so the companies started all this deep water drilling. . . She said it would have been easy to repair as divers could have worked on it immediately. . it's the pressures at the deep depths that makes repairs a nightmare. . . Another example of anti-capitalist government rules and regulations leading to disaster.
