Helen Thomas is a hater. These so-called liberals who are covering for her are covering for a hater and a bigot. What would the reaction be if she had said blacks should go back to Africa? Her liberal cohorts are covering for exactly the type of thing they pretend to find objectionable.

I understand that people in the “senior” years can get confused and cranky but if she is in a position of power and influence then people can’t give her a “free” pass because she is up there in age. I have noticed a lot of anti-Jewish sentiment and anti-Jewish views discussed openly. If the same thing was said about say African Americans then the public would want her gone yesterday. Why is it okay to tell a group of people to “go back where they came from” and not another? I guess certain hatred is looked at as being okay and other hatred isn’t.
It’s time to start ostracizing these soft Nazis. There seems to be a lot of them on the leftist side of politics.
The synagogues could help be kicking some of these clowns out of their congregations.
I was watching Fox & Friends and they had the man on who asked Helen the question. This man was a Jewish rabbi and had a number of young Jewish people with him on a field trip (or something).
Helen knew she was on camera and she knew she was talking to Jews.
The Rabbi pointed out to Fox News that not only is Helen in the White House press, but that she gets a front row seat and out of the dozens of reporters there, she is the one who always gets to ask a question.
He felt that she should not be accorded this kind of respect and power in view of her clearly stated and heartfelt views, whatever apologies she might make later.
I agree.
I doubt she was confused. She’s been pretty consistent in steering the conversation against the Israelis.
It really isn’t news that a leftist is an anti-Semite. Like Obama, Thomas is just another in a long list of anti-Semite socialists. The left has a history of anti-Semitism. The leftists Hitler, Marx, Lennon, and Stalin were all anti-Semites. The left hasn’t changed in that regard. They just deny they are anti-Semites.
For some reason evil has a long shelf life. And the longer it sits, the more concentrated it becomes. She’s nothing more than a vile little troll who lives under the George Washington Bridge. But administrations still pat her on the head and tolerate her nastiness. sigh
I’m pretty sure Danny’s parents were Lebanese. Wiki says he was born in Dearbornistan, MI.

Her stated and heartfelt views are in accordance with this President, so she’s not going anywhere until 1) BamBam leaves office, or 2) she croaks.

I think Danny Thomas was a Christian Lebanese. There’s a HUGE difference!
Danny was also Lebanese — a Catholic and the founder of St. jude’s Children’s hospital.
He was from Stubenville, OH (boyhood contemporary of Dean Martin and Jimmy the Greek Snyder)...Helen is from Detroit.
She meant to say take the train to Germany. One good thing about Obama being president, all the racists & haters are crawling out of the woodwork and exposing themselves. They thought they were safe to do so.
All the Moderators, leaders, and main folks are completely supportive of Helen Thomas and even reiterating the “truth” of her statements. It's almost unbelievable.
90% of the at-large posts are also in defense of both her and her ridiculous statements. There's only about 10% of the posts crying foul - a combination of some non-Israel-hating Jewish HuffPo regulars and some Conservatives who have become members just to post dissent on their threads.
And HuffPo actually polled as the most popular blog for American Jews. Unreal.
