USA Rebukes China For Suspending Military Ties
The Statesman ^ | June 5, 2010

SINGAPORE, 5 JUNE: US defence secretary Mr Robert Gates today rebuked China for suspending military ties over US arms sales to Taiwan, saying Beijing's rationale made little sense.

"Chinese officials have broken off interactions between our militaries, citing US arms sales to Taiwan as the rationale," he said.

"This makes little sense," Mr Gates said, adding that interruptions in the military exchange with China would not change the US policy toward Taiwan.

Now, Fatty Bottom will begin scrambling to fix things and make nice with the Red Chinese, and make some quiet agreements, undermining Taiwan. Then we'll al sit around and sing Kumbaya.

One reason the Chinese are so worked up about Taiwan.

http://il.china-embassy.org/eng/zt/twwt/t159642.htm

Of course the above is in no way is correct.

http://www.examiner.com/x-34331-Taiwan-Policy-Examiner~y2010m4d7-Inside-Taiwans-Political-Purgatory-CIA-documents-tell-secret-story-of-betrayal—Part-6-of-20

Pretty good explanation.

Of course the last thing the Chineese want is the US to occupy our Island Aircraft Carrier a few miles off their Coast. LOL

When would China and America ever have a common enemy?

When Chinese communism collapses and Christiany displaces statism, and when the American Communist Federal Royalty is displaced, China and America will need to join forces against the common enemy of humanity:

Islam.

No kidding, truly a paper tiger...if China refuses to buy our “paper,” our government collapses financially.

The Chinese (correctly) sense unprecedented weakness in the WH.

...and they’re far from alone.

Dangerous times.

I don’t think that these two dolts understand, that if/when China becomes a major power, that the Chinese won’t have Gates or Obama in their council of power. It never works that way. People like Obama, Gates, and the celebrities that lick the boots of these people will end up on the bottom of the totem pole, as do all those who lack the intelligence to understand how the minds of the Chinese politburo works.

The Chinese government isn’t run by politicians like ours; they are ruthless gangsters who have China and China only on their minds as their priority. That’s how they are rising as a power player and that is how they are going to stay a power player. The Chinese, if they dominate the world, will reduce celebrity to the most worthless of coinage, spit in the face of political correctness, and the world will have to adapt to that, painfully if need be.

IF/when China becomes THE world power player, it will change the world’s values and likely, ironically, for the better in some respects. But adapting will be painful for Western culture that has allowed all the wrong types to dominate it.

When we talk about the outrage of China buying and manufacturing arms, China is simply doing what any sensible nation would do to provide for its defense or eventual military expansion. China is looking out for China and that is how the US needs to be run. Not the other way around. A major point of building it’s arms and military is to be able to successfully prevent and fight off attempts at colonization, which is why they reacted the way they did with Google. They will no longer be told what to do.

The US needs to get itself together or completely relinquish its position as an international superpower. Or it will be forcibly taken away. Now it’s the turn of the US to sink or swim. If Obama perhaps didn’t try to dictate to the Chinese how they will or will not run their lives and government, maybe the country would be more open minded and likely to work with the US on joint exercises.

All they would have to do is to announce that they were suspending their purchase of our profligate and ever-expanding debt. We’d fold faster than a cheap suit.

Dead on. Gates has become Obama and Hillary’s arm twister. The Chinese don’t want to talk about NK and that’s what Gates was up to. Gates wanted to share “smoking gun” intel on the Cheonan, that hasn’t been released, and the Chinese, by ducking Gates can claim that the evidence is incomplete.

I somehow don’t see us denouncing the Saud family any time soon. Especially when what would replace them in that country is far far worse.

Just one problem with that scenario of China taking over.

China has as much internal division as we do if not more and unlike our country where these divisions go back at most a century or two in China you are talking about divisions and seperations that are up to a millennium old if not longer.

China is far more likely to break apart in a war against us then we are. That’s why they won’t try anything. That and we still have the nukes.

However, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to begin courting Russia more strongly because Russia and China have been enemies for a while now and Russia has no more interest in a world dominant China than we do.

gibbs said as much:
“The US had over the years made clear that “we do not support independence for Taiwan”, Mr Gates said, adding that “Nothing,I repeat, nothing, has changed in that stance.”

Evidence they perceive Obama to be weak. They are angling for him to throw Taiwan under the bus, as he has so many others.
