California's white population has declined since 2000 at an unprecedented rate, hastening the day when Hispanics will be the state's largest population group, according to newly released state figures.
There were half a million fewer whites in California in 2008 than in 2000, a period when the state's overall population grew by 4 million to 38.1 million, according to a study released Thursday by the state Department of Finance.
By 2008, whites made up 40 percent of Californians, down from 47 percent at the turn of the century. In 2000, Hispanics comprised 32 percent of the population; that number grew to 37 percent in 2008.

Very true. Of all my friends, coworkers and acquaintances, I don’t know of any other race or ethnicity who wait until age 40 to have kids.
Given the number of extremist liberal/communist/socialist whites in California, I’m not sure I’d want them to reproduce.

It’s not so much the RACE that bothers me.
It is the MINDSET of the Hispanics that is ANTI AMERICAN with third world country values that troubles me. What they LEFT in Mexico they WANT HERE with THEM in charge as top thugs.

There are many whites remaining in places like Westwood, LaJolla, Beverly Hills, etc. The whites that are leaving are primarily those in mixed neighborhoods. Even businesses leave CA with their CEOs and owners still living in Westwood and LaJolla.

Apparently not. My son just got told that he wasn’t qualified for an entry level part time job at a Lowes in SOCAL. But when I walk in the store, there are plenty other young nonwhite kids that don’t have a clue about what they are selling. I am seriously considering taking my white dollars somewhere else now.

The pockets that have been taken over (former white areas that have become Latino) in the San Fernando Valley are basically like a time warp. All of the retail and apartment areas are rarely improved and morp into used car lots, liquor stores and Mexican restaurants.
Reseda, Sun Valley and North Hollywood (north of Magnolia) resemble Tijuana, there are miles of blighted areas with thousands of illegal aliens.
They’re only worried about this because they are losing their tax base.

Personally, I’m in full Atlas Shrugged mode. I think all white people should cease reproducing, period. This planet is overwhelmed with looters, all banding together in a racial-politics movement that blames us for everything that is wrong in their lives, and demands everything we work for be handed over to them. I've been on the forefront of this illegal thing since back in my late 80's Navy days when I lived 3 miles from Tiajuana and had to chase illegals off my property, less they continue to scare my children and steal and destroy my property in the dead of night - I lived on a cul-de-sac which was inline with their migration route.

OK...but there are 5 million fewer whites than in 2000, deaths don’t account for anything like that number, so that part of it is out-migration. And no, I don’t think all cultures are equal at all, not even close. Islam is great example of a dramatically inferior culture. And I don’t have the least problem with you being a culturist — sounds interesting.

Don't believe they want "thugs", but they definitely have a different cultural mindset. There are many places in Southern California that have long mirrored the trashy ghettos they left behind in Mexico. It's a simple reality of differing cultural standards. Interestingly, other Latino cultures don't have a similar mindset. Seems to be predominant of Mexico and some other countries in central America. Again, culture, not ethnicity.
The 2000s saw for the first time in California history a net domestic migration out of California. The population grew because of legal and illegal immigration and their kids born here. Just check the U-haul rates out of California vs. into California.

Been there, done that. Left nine years ago. Many of my friends did the same.
The wife and I don't miss it at all (except for a few friends who haven't left yet). We left because we wanted to raise a family but did not want to raise them in CA.
I have said the same thing to my spouse, repeatedly. My compassion has limits. Hell, I have more compassion for my dog than I do for the no-loads of mankind.
I was stationed at NAS Imperial Beach in the ‘70’s. I was told while standing watch NOT to challenge anyone walking across the ramp approaching from the south, but just go call for help. Apparently there had been cases of some poor watch stander getting beaten by migrants.

They had white flight from the racist state of California a long time ago. There will be more as the diversity racism is still dominate in California. It will be looking and acting Mexican all the way soon.
This is due to a combination of factors....but the contraceptive and abortive mentality is strong in CA.
This is exactly what happens when immigrants do not assimilate into society and instead bring their society to us. They leave there to come here because it’s better and then spend all their time insisting we make here more like there. Complete insanity.
