“OTOH, you could argue that the FBI bungled it by not arresting him in Aruba. If they had, that young woman would still be alive.”

In this situation I wouldn’t. I appreciate what the F.B.I. did throughout the entire investigation snce day one. It is Aruba that has always been calling the shots. I beliebe or suspect, they wanted to get Urine head for collecting the entire 250K to keep him in prison longer. They went to great pains to tape and film the whole thing with Beth. They wanted to put Urine away for as long as possible in our prison. Aruba winked at Urine AGAIN as he fled the country. The U.S. cannot STOP Urine from leaving Aruba - only Aruba can do that ad Aruba didn’t STOP him.

I wouldnt be surprised if one of the Aruban authorities tipped him off that he had just been filmed in a sting and suggested that he skip town.

I agree with everything you've said.

With respect to this latest FBI "sting", I would also point out that the failure to effect arrest isn't the fault of the FBI, but probably is the fault of the US Attorney. In cases like this - a sting operation involving international wire transfers and the like, its the US Attorney's office running the show, not the local FBI field office.

In effect, the failure to effect timely arrest is ERIC HOLDER's fault, no one else.

I dont't believe that our FBI has the legal jurisdiction to arrest ANYBODY in Aruba.

If JVDS had been on American soil, then they have legal jurisdiction, but not in Aruba.
