Elton John Performs for Rush Limbaugh Wedding
Live Street Journal ^ | 06/06/2010

I can’t stop asking myself how did Elton John, gay pop icon, ended up performing at at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding.

Anyway, the act took place in Palm Florida on Saturday night. The guests included celebrities such as Fred Thompson, Sean Hannity, Bush adviser Karl Rove, golfer Tom Watson and Rudolph Giuliani. Did i forget to mention it was a 400 guests wedding?

Limbaugh and Rogers met six years ago at a charity golf tournament. There is a 20 years difference between the two but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for them. Kathryn Rogers said she is “sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age.”

I’m guessing Elton John couldn’t help it and went for the million bucks. That is the reported $1 million payday for Elton John. But still , having a gay guy performing at your wedding is a bit ..awkward.

Sheesh, Carville was there

Yeah, and I agree with you, but is should have been reported thus:

...former GOP analyst Mary Matalin and her husband, Clinton adviser James Carville

Of course, maybe Jimmy has made himself persona non grata by criticizing 0bama over the handling of the BP oil spill.

Nah, I don't really think so either.

Elton John seduces ‘cub scouts’
Lurid stage show draws applause, protests

Singer Elton John’s lurid stage performance with six teen-age strippers wearing Cub Scout uniforms, at a gala London event honoring the homosexual rights group Stonewall, is being both applauded and condemned.

The strippers, all 18- and 19-year-old professionals, were wearing Cub Scout uniforms and hats when Elton John took the hand of each “scout” and introduced them to the VIP audience at London’s Albert Hall. Following their introduction, the teen-agers began to strip off their uniforms — which are worn by real scouts between the ages of 7 and 11 — revealing “tight undies,” according to the British Internet publication The Sun.

The striptease was performed to the song, “It’s a sin,” by the notorious homosexual band, the Pet Shop Boys, and included such suggestive behavior as strippers kneeling before Elton John in obscene poses while grabbing their crotches.

Child and family advocacy groups were outraged at the display.

George Michael, in black, joins Elton John on stage, for parody of homosexual sex with “Cub Scouts.”

BTW, his new wife is a descendant of John Adams.

So are about 50,000 other people.

Is that significant in some way?

Elton John at Rush’s wedding is going to tick off some conservatives and I’m one of them!

If gay guys were not allowed to be wedding planners, caterers, etc., the entire wedding industry would collapse. Trust me on this.

Wrong, it is the gay lib weirdos who control most areas of entertainment and block talent that doesn’t share their views. I’ve seen it. Country music is an exception.

I can’t imagine anyone with a mind being a fan of someone like Elton “the pedophile encourager” John.

Rush is making the lefties his bitches. Elton has to sing for his supper and cash a check from Rush. Beeeee-youuuuu-teeeeeee-fullllllll!!!

Yes, there are two ways of looking at it.

Rush is an unapologetic conservative. Carville makes his liberal point-of-view illegitimate by sucking up to Rush by going to his wedding.

“Is that significant in some way?”

Yes and no.

She has an interesting family heritage and no in the sense that it doesn't make her better than anyone else.

maybe they just liked his music, and didn't make him submit to a sexual-orientation litmus test.

Imagine, hiring someone on the merits of his talent. What a concept!

Get me a first name and I’ll look in the ‘58 Lucky Bag. Her father could have been in another class, not necessarily in “58-the-great” or he would have noted that Poindexter was the valedictorian.

Yesterday Rush Limbaugh married his now-fourth wife, Kathryn Rogers, in Palm Beach. Among the paid entertainment wowing guests? Elton John, who earned a reported $1 million to fete the homophobe’s repeat nuptials. Should Elton be shamed for accepting the cash?
Yes.

There are reasonable things the LGBT community can do to disavow support for people who make a career out of gay baiting, and there are unreasonable things. The latter category could includes boycotting an entire mega-conglomerate corporation for an offensive television ad. The former category could include refusing to go to an Buju Banton concert, no matter how much you like his beats, because he calls for the murder of our people.

And that’s where Elton’s flaw is. He is directly supporting Mr. Limbaugh and his endeavors — his future happiness! — by agreeing to perform at the man’s wedding. It will be Rush who writes out the check to Elton for the seven-figure sum; money that, let’s all face, Elton doesn’t really need. And even if his intention was to donate the cash to a LGBT youth group, it’s already bloody money, and tainted.

“It’s always about the money with these liberal hypocrites!”

Certainly a truism as far as the liberals I’ve worked with are concerned. Over many years, a common theme amongst them was a lust for money.

It doesn’t bother me. Rush didn’t compromise anything by having Elton John perform. If anything, it shoved the “tolerance” thing down libs. throats.
