Elton John Performs for Rush Limbaugh Wedding
Live Street Journal ^ | 06/06/2010

I can’t stop asking myself how did Elton John, gay pop icon, ended up performing at at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding.

Anyway, the act took place in Palm Florida on Saturday night. The guests included celebrities such as Fred Thompson, Sean Hannity, Bush adviser Karl Rove, golfer Tom Watson and Rudolph Giuliani. Did i forget to mention it was a 400 guests wedding?

Limbaugh and Rogers met six years ago at a charity golf tournament. There is a 20 years difference between the two but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for them. Kathryn Rogers said she is “sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age.”

I’m guessing Elton John couldn’t help it and went for the million bucks. That is the reported $1 million payday for Elton John. But still , having a gay guy performing at your wedding is a bit ..awkward.

Has it occurred to anyone that Kathryn Rogers is big fan of Sir Elton?

Rush Limbaugh Weds for 4th Time, and Elton John Sings

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20391620,00.html

Talk about an odd couple: conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh and outspoken gay-marriage advocate Elton John.

But, according to a News Corporation (which owns Fox News) wire report, the Rocket Man, 63, serenaded the 400 guests Saturday night to celebrate the marriage of Limbaugh, 59, to Kathryn Rogers, 33, in the Ponce de Leon ballroom of Florida’s fabled Breakers hotel in Palm Beach. Sir Elton’s fee: $1 million, the report notes.

Amid dozens of giant bouquets of white roses, reports the Palm Beach Post, guests at the wedding included former Bush adviser Karl Rove; actor-politician Fred Thompson; former Kansas City Royals slugger George Brett; Fox News commentator Sean Hannity; former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani; New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft; former Clinton adviser James Carville and his wife, GOP analyst Mary Matalin; and golfer Tom Watson, among others.

The couple met six years ago, while she was running a charity golf tournament and Limbaugh was in the process of divorcing for the third time.

Rogers is a direct descendant of President John Adams, and her father attended the U.S. Naval Academy with the future Arizona Senator (and 2008 Republican Presidential candidate) John McCain, reports NewsCore.

The wire service also quotes the new bride as saying of the couple’s 26-year age gap: “I’m sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age.”

Like the hypocrite Sting taking $4M to sing for a communist dictator (despite Sting's support of Amnesty Intl), "elton the tiny flaming dancer" sold out for money and played for a noted conservative icon.

It's always about the money with these liberal hypocrites!

I get why Elton did it—he needs to cash, the fool has bankrupted himself.

Now how is he going to claim any libtard cred with his pukey little pals?

Rush scores again.

“”elton the tiny flaming dancer”

LOL. I always tag articles about Sir Elton with the keyword “not a tiny dancer”.

Elton John is a great talent. Many lefty, gay, wierdos are incredibly talented people. If we limit our entertainment to only those who agree with us philosophically, we might as well be Amish.

This reporter is a bigot. Why not have a “Gay Guy” sing at your wedding. Many other media are saying Elton should not sing for Rush because Rush is a homophobe, bigot etc. Rush is most certainly NOT any of those things, but that does not stop the DBM from just saying it and repeating it ad nauseum.
