Again, why? Why say anything? She, at least, spoke honestly. Last time I heard, that's okay in America. She's a far better person than those in the current administration who share her belief but try to run the risky path between the two sides. The double-minded man will receive nothing. You just can't stay neutral — it's either or and any honest Iranian, Palestinian, Syrian, Turk, Egyptian, Jordanian and Saudi would say the same. Stop trying to play both sides — you'll lose in the end.

Great. Now the old bag can unleash herself on all the Sunday talking head shows, without the worry of corporate reprisals. I was hoping for an obit to end her career. Now she's just gonna make half of America shoot their televisions.

Problem with her comment, and her apology, is that both work together: there would indeed be “peace” in the ME as she apologizes, were the indicated ethnic group deported as she suggested. That’s the basis for all genocide, the notion that “we’ll have peace when THEY are gone.”

Good to see such talk still garners expulsion from elite circles. I was starting to wonder.
