Schumer: Immigration bill will be done by March (RINO Graham took his "cues" from RINO McCain!)
The Hill, Washington, DC ^ | 2010-06-05 | Jordan Fabian

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Friday said he thinks that Congress can get immigration reform done by March 2011, if not by the end of this year.

While speaking at a fundraising event for the Irish Lobby for Immigration reform in New York while on recess, Schumer praised his former negotiating partner Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), noting that Graham took his cues from Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

"While Lindsey Graham is a great partner and he loves our bill," Schumer said, he really said his mentor was McCain, according to IrishCentral.com.

(snip)

In 2007, McCain attempted to push through a comprehensive immigration reform bill alongside the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) But this year, facing a primary challenge from former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R), McCain has been more skeptical of current immigration legislation in Congress.

(snip)

McCain has been more focused on border security recently, cutting a campaign ad in which he calls on the government to "complete the danged fence" along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Some Republicans have scoffed at McCain's new stance, citing his previous position on the issue. McCain has said that he would support immigration reform as long as the border is secured first.

Someone ought to beat these folks with the ‘Amnesty Club’. Hit often enough maybe they would shy away from it.

Then again its all about votes ... for the Dem Party.

RINO’s are Dem no matter what letter they falsely put after their name.

With a GOP majority in the House and a GOP margin in the Senate that can stop any bill I do not think any thing on this matter will pass congress by next March.

March??? That idiot Schumer doesn't even know what congress will look like in March. Why would the new 2011 congress honor a bill created or partially passed by the previous lame duck congress of 2010? Schumer is such a used car salesman that will say anything.

I am sure McCain will do the ‘right’ thing, he is a man of honor :)

See : John McCain one of the 'finest'

CIR is amnesty, and amnesty is surrender.

U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;

March???

Maybe he intends to pass a bill moving the date back. If he could do that, November would never arrive.

Before fellow FReepers go all herd-like and follow Chuckie ‘the Shyster’ Schumer’s lead, stop and ask yourself WHY he was so interested in dragging down McCain.

If I lived in AZ, I’d be voting for McCain.

Wasn’t JD tied to Abramoff?

What happened to Obama in that time?

(a) mental breakdown
(b) “persuaded” to leave ...
(c) “accident” (and how’s she going to pull that off?)

“Some Republicans have scoffed at McCain’s new stance,”...

NEW stance? Nothing’s changed about his stance. He’s just CHOOSING to pretend to focus on border security....it’s a pro-amnesty ploy...they all do it, Republican and Democrats alike.

Frankly, ANY Republican who support Comprehensive Immigration Reform SHOULD NOT BE ON OUR POTUS BALLOT.
