What's the medical truth about the hormone, drug, and body mutilation procedures which attempt to "change" a person's sex -- that are even being promoted to and used on children?
This is a very frightening subject. The mental health profession recognizes "gender identity disorder" as a psychological affliction -- not an inborn biological condition. But many in the field are afraid to research it or even discuss for fear of retribution from the powerful homosexual movement.
As a result the radical activists, fringe medical practitioners, and far-left politicians are given free reign in the public forum on this issue.

People are not dogs. As SatinDoll said in an earlier post, that “mounting” behaviour in dogs is a display of dominance. Unfortunately, there are those who do not understand the issue, and/or have an agenda.
Absolutely. When allowed to have access to the opposite sex, it is extremely rare for any animal to attempt sexual movements with the same sex. Much of the “research” that says otherwise is in unnatural conditions, by “researchers” who want to prove that homosexuality is genetic, since “animals do it”.
I used to have a whole list of all kinds of things animals do that people do not do (if they want to be human!).
Exactly right. Imagine being mentally ill and confused. And possibly, quite young. Then imagine having the surgery and at some point, finally realizing what you have done to yourself. The shock and horror one must feel. I can’t even imagine it.
It amazes me that anyone would compare people to dogs as a justification for homosexuality. It's just bizarre.
Come on, l.j. Both Freud and Ellis were the real deal. We don’t have to assent to them, necessarily, but they were intelligent men who were interested in scientific fact, not political propaganda. Without Freud’s theory of “family romance”, for example, human sexual development would have remained a mystery.

I have a college degree in Psychology. I have read countless studies on this issue and have done research on it.
And I am sorry, but I need a little more evidence than simply what is said in Leviticus to determine whether or not homosexuality is a mental disorder. At this point, taking in all the evidence and studies I’ve analyzed, I cannot say that it is a mental disorder. I also can’t say for sure that it isn’t.
There is too much that is unknown about how sexual attraction and affection work in the human brain to make any solid determination on homosexuality at this time. That’s just the way science works. But one thing is for sure, homosexuality has always been here. It goes back to the earliest writings of human history. So whether it is a disease or not, you better try to figure out a way to live in a civil manner with these people. Because they will never go away.

If you look at the literature on this, you find that, without exception, reported instances of “homosexual behaviour” in the animal kingdom occur in conditions of environmental stress, such as severe overcrowding, with some animals attempting to establish a hierarchy of dominance. It is purely aggressive, not sexual, behaviour.
Animals operate under a purely biological imperative. Any talk of “gay animals” is ridiculous.
I never referred to Leviticus. I used to run the Homosexual Agenda ping list and did tons of research and linked to articles and tried my best to educate anyone interested. I’m done with that now as anyone who still thinks homosexuals are born that way is either not educable or is part of the problem.
1. There are uncountable numbers of former homoseuxals.
2. The vast majority of homosexuals were molested/seduced as children or adolosecents by older homosexuals. IOW, recruited - made homosexual.
3. Most homosexuals had very poor or non-existant relationships with their fathers and often poor relationships with their mothers.
So what if it’s always been in human society? So has murder, kidnappying, lying, theft and rape. Your point?
They will never go away? They aren’t civil. The homosexual agenda is a tyrannical Nazi-like effort to destroy freedom of speech, religion and association. It will only be civil when they shut up about their sexual perversion and leave everyone else alone.
You want me to be civil? I’ll be civil when they stop pushing their hateful and destructive agenda in the schools, on the Boy Scouts, in the military, in colleges, workplaces, pushing same sex marriage on states, and more.

Any doctor performing “gender reassignement” surgery or whatever they call it should have his/her license pulled at the very least.

Kinsey was a fraud and probably a sex criminal, too. But we’ll have to agree to disagree about Freud.
Problems with Freud - he was a cocaine addict. His judgement was therefore impaired. He was also, IIRC, an atheist. Any theories of psychology which ignore or assign aberration to the innate desire of the soul to know God are wrong theories that cannot help anyone.
Personally, I won't flaunt that around FR too much.
I'm sure it does not impress people as much as you think it does. It tells me from anecdotal evidence you probably have serious mental issues yourself
I have know several psychologists over the years and to the person, all are left wing, foaming at the mouth, barking moon-bats of the first degree.
If they were not psychologists, they should be institutionalized
It is horrible. Sex change surgery is sadism pure and simple. There is no other area where this kind of radical approach would be considered valid. Someone thinks they are Jesus? Do we nail them to the cross to make them feel better? When it is a matter of simply learning to think different versus a dangerous surgery which does shorten the lifespan and cause greater risk of all kinds of complications. I wish some of those who have been through these butcherings and came to their senses would start suing some of these Drs for malpractice. They’d win.
No crap. Many people in here are anti-college completely no matter what the degree is.
