LIMA, Peru - A high-ranking Peruvian government official confirmed to NBC News Monday night that Joran van der Sloot confessed to the slaying of a 21-year-old Lima woman.
According to La Republica newspaper, he said that his anger exploded and he broke Stephany Flores' neck after she grabbed his laptop without his permission, and found out that he was involved in the disappearance of an American woman.

I doubt he’ll live 2 years in jail. Those jails down there are full of men that don’t put up with rapists and such. Seems to me he was into some weird stuff. killed one girl, possibly another, and was mixed up with a sex slave ring in thailand.
Not sure about this, but I think Peru is one of those countries where if you’re in prison, your food comes from your family. Anybody know this for sure one way or the other?
His fate will be interesting to follow. Daddy is dead.

Yea...but there had to be more to it than that. There’s also the admission tape in regards to Holloway; but he still held out. He must have something planned: Luckily, he’s not very bright.

That girl was drugged, just like the people claim Natalie was.
Notice the way the girl walks with her arms dangling, head down and swaying. Especially shown swaying walking into his room.
Also, the video shows her entering a casino where she met Joran. She is upbeat, arms active. On the way out she is shown with the dangly arms and him practically dragging her across the parking lot.
That bastard deserves the hell that is prison in Peru. Maybe he should have just taken the sentence in Aruba.

How hard is it to get a confession in Peru ?
Why? The video was conclusive evidence. There was no room for him to talk his way out of this one.
That sounds as if he thinks he provided some logical explanation for committing murder. Truly a psychopath, or some sort of head case.
Who knows if this freak ever tells the truth or what to believe from his lying lips. A rotgut, stinking Preuvian jail cell is his destiny!
She is the daughter of a Presidential Candidate. He picked the wrong girl to have a “crime of passion” with. I doubt very seriously he makes it out of prison alive.

Yes, navyblue. They will give you one bowl of dirty rice per day prepared in an unsanitary kitchen. Any other food must be purchased from outside of the prison with money from outside of the prison. Rent for your cell must be paid to the “daddy” (the most powerful prisoner) of any given cell block or building. Your bed must be purchased the same way. Essentially, if you do not have family or loved ones supporting you from outside, you are in for a very bad time.
I saw this information in an episode of Locked Up Abroad-Peru, as well as reading a British Embassy pamphlet regarding brits being arrested in Peru that was posted on here a few days ago.
It really doesn’t matter if he confessed or not. They have him entering the hotel room with the girl and leaving with changed clothes without her. Tells the hotel not to disturb her. I don’t know how much more they need than that even without a confession. Especially if there is ANY physical evidence in the room.
