SNIPPET: "(CNSNews.com) Andy Stern, the former head of the Service Employees International Union who now sits on President Obama's National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, said the United States needs an economic plan that does not include worshipping the free market.
America needs a 21st century economic plan because we now know the market-worshipping, privatizing, de-regulating, dehumanizing American financial plan has failed and should never be revived, worshipping the market again, Stern said in remarks at the annual conference of the liberal activist group Campaign for Americas Future in Washington on Monday.
It has failed America and everyone that works here, Stern said.
Stern said the changes that Obama and Democrats in Congress have made are nothing short of a revolution that will move the American economy from national to international."

ON THE INTERNET:
“Is President Obama Using Executive Powers To Organize Angry Anti-Capitalist Protests On The Streets Of America?”
by Andrew Marcus
(May 5, 2010)
SNIPPET: “From the cheap seats, it sure does look like the President of the United States is using the powers of the Executive to coordinate with Andy Stern to organize a series of protests entitled Showdown In America.
Earlier, we posted about the links between Andy Sterns SEIU and a group called National Peoples Action (NPA). NPA, together with SEIU and the AFL-CIO, is organizing a series of angry marches against Wall Street and capitalism.”
“Is the White House Coordinating With SEIU To Lead Protests Against Capitalism?”
May 4, 2010
SNIPPET: “On April 30th, Progressives marched on Wall Street to vilify Wall Street banks and bankers. Who organized that march? It was a group called National Peoples Action (NPA), and their anti-capitalist campaign is ominously titled Showdown In America.”
If there was ever a revolving, glaring red light over the White House that they are Marxist Revolutionaries bent on destroying America it is Andy Stern in this role.

President Obama Names Members of Bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
WASHINGTON Today, President Barack Obama named the following individuals to serve on the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform being co-chaired by former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles and former Republican Senate Whip Alan Simpson:
David Cote, Member, National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
Ann Fudge, Member, National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
Alice Rivlin, Member, National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
Andy Stern, Member, National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
President Obama said, For far too long, Washington has avoided the tough choices necessary to solve our fiscal problems. I am proud that these distinguished individuals have agreed to work to build a bipartisan consensus to put America on the path toward fiscal reform and responsibility. I know theyll take up their work with the sense of integrity and strength of commitment that the American people deserve and Americas future demands.
The bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform will make recommendations to Congress by December 1, 2010 to put the budget in primary balance so that all operations and programs for the federal government are paid for (achieving deficits of about 3 percent of GDP) by 2015 and to meaningfully improve the long-term fiscal outlook. With todays appointments the President has named 6 bipartisan appointees to the commission. The remaining 12 members of the commission will be appointed by Senate and House leaders (3 each by the Republican and Democratic leaders of both chambers).
President Obama named the following individuals as members of the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform:
Dave Cote has served since 2002 as chairman, chief executive officer, and president of Honeywell, a diversified technology and manufacturing leader. Under Cotes leadership, Honeywell has delivered strong performance in sales, earnings per share, segment profit, and cash flow. He has served on the U.S.-India CEO Forum since 2005 and was named co-chair by President Obama in 2009. Previously, he was chairman, chief executive officer, and president of TRW. He joined TRW from General Electric, where he served 25 years in various manufacturing, finance, and management positions. He received the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the Foreign Policy Association in 2007. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire.
Ann Fudge served as chairman and chief executive officer of Young & Rubicam Brands from 2003 to 2006. Prior to joining Young & Rubicam Brands, she worked at General Mills and Kraft, where she served in a number of senior executive positions. Fudge is not only a proven business leader, but also an engaged civic voice having served on the boards of the Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. She is a graduate of Simmons College and Harvard Business School.
Alice Rivlin is a senior fellow in the Economic Studies Program at the Brookings Institution and visiting professor at Georgetown University. Before returning to Brookings, she served in a variety of senior public policy roles including vice chair of the Federal Reserve Board, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, chair of the District of Columbia Financial Management Assistance Authority, and founding director of the Congressional Budget Office. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and received her Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union, represents 2.2 million healthcare workers, janitors, security officers, public employees, and other hardworking women and men in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. As both a labor leader and an activist, he is a leading voice and aggressive advocate for practical solutions to achieve economic opportunity and justice for workers. Stern began working as a social service worker and member of SEIU Local 668 in 1973 and rose through the ranks before his election as SEIU president in 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Big overextended huge insane government populated with his ilk are causing the free market to fail.
“...free market has failed the country and American workers.”
The Free Market didnt fail us, You Did. Capitalism didnt fail us, You Did. The Slumlord
Charley Rangels, the Countrywides favorite Son, Dodds and the Freddie/Fannie Frankss of congress are to blame.
What else would one expect an old commie retread to say?
Mr. Stern and our gay communist president are on their way to achieving a controlled economy in the USA. Obama and the SEIUs “New Deal” will make the manipulations of FDR and his cronies look purely lassiez faire in comparison.
Hang the communists, every last one of them.
If we divided the country, had half under free market and the other under the God forsaken system union minions want, it wouldn't be six months before they'd be invading our side. Then, in no time, they'd be right back on their foolish socialist trip. Someone's going to have to tell these people, in a way they will understand, that they have no right to enslave the rest of us.
Whoa....hold on there folks...looky at the directions given!
Our goal is to forge the enduring progressive majority needed to realize the America of shared prosperity
Nothing hiding here at all!
Nope, nothing hidden.
America was just fine until Liberal Progressives get their hands on things.
They just gave instructions to put runs on the banks! This ain’t no crazy talk to the likes of union members. They are openly going to crash the banking system.
trickle up poverty.
We’ve run out of time.
where is there a free market?
Free market capitalism failed after Federal and state regulators got their fingers around its throat (e.g. the CRA housing blowout, the Deepwater Horizon blowout, the TARP and stimulus bail out, the EPA/FDA screw outs, the endangered species shutout, etc)
Stern was part of the system that threw sand in the gears to disable large swaths of the American economy.
Yep. Obama will be able to destroy us with the power of the executive all by himself. Anyone who thinks health scam and cap and trade can be repealed is looney. Bunker up and be ready.
It is a weird old world. Apparently (no: make that obviously) mr Stern is attacking the very cornerstones of the West (the U.S.A.).
You can’t have a 75% free market. Trying to constrain fundamental liberties is just not possible, and that is an apriori philosophical given. What about 75% free speech? Nope, that is idiotic. There are good a posteriori rules, according to which slander can be punished. But that is just it.
You have a free market, or you don’t. Accusing the free market of having failed society, that is truly insane. The free market is not a criminal subject. It is the healthy backbone of a society that offers opportunities for all, and optimal self-realization for everyone willing to make an effort, through education, work, and fair trade.
My God; I never thought I’d see the day on which I’d think that I, as a modest Dutchman, could learn the U.S. administration a few good lessons. It seems that that day has arrived...
At least it's nice to see one of them come out and plainly admit that they are a Marxist...
Ditto. They, and their system, are evil. Period.
A member of the White House was at this meeting of marxists. It is no longer, "at least one of them." I know it is difficult to take Andy Stern out of the SEIU picture, but we must come to grips with Stern is a member of the White House Regime now! He was at this meeting, this is no longer some fringe arm of the democratic party. These people are large and in charge...for now.
Our country is in deeper trouble than I think we even realize.
Scum. Scum. Scum. This is what Andy Stern said to The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center during the campaign to unionize them, which they buckled to. These SEIU are scum, Stern is the scummiest of them all, and he is in Obama's pocket (or more accurately, Obama is in his pocket)
It is DELIBERATE. I know people don't want to believe it. Who can blame them? But here we are.
I had been aware of The Cloward-Piven strategy for years, but had pretty much always thought of it as borderline paranoia.
Until I saw this:
It was seeing these two (Cloward and Piven) at the signing of the “Motor Voter Act” which cemented it for me. I was explaining this to someone, and they didn’t understand what was so bad about the legislation. I reminded them that it decouples voting rights from residence and ties it to a drivers license. On the surface that doesn’t seem so bad, until you consider that illegal aliens can and do obtain drivers licenses through fraud and deception.
Stern is now in the Oval office as the appointee to the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
I wrote this a while back, and I wonder...do people still not care, and if not, how long will that continue?
Obama is a disciple of an astoundingly and incredibly amoral and immoral author like Saul Alinsky who dedicated the pinnacle of his lifes work (Rules for Radicals) to, amongst other things, Lucifer: "... Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom Lucifer...
People don't care.
Obama is a close associate of a terrorist like Bill Ayers and his like in the Weathermen, a group who killed AMERICANS with bombs, a POS who wished he had done more violence, whose most public moments in print are accompanied by a picture of him proudly and triumphantly standing on top of an American flag, the same flag I and my father served under, and my father was buried under. This man is one of Obamas principal patrons, who by his own admission is guilty as sin-free as a bird, and quite proud of that.who thought a reasonable price to pay would be to kill millions of Americans who wouldnt buy into their radical plans once they took power, not to mention Bernadine Dohrn who thought the sticking of a fork by murderers into the slain body of a pregnant woman was a fabulous thing. Do any of YOU out there have friends like this? Do you even KNOW anyone like this? THESE people are close friends and associates of the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Think about that for a minute.
People don't care.
Obama is a close personal friend with a Black Theologian racist Reverend Wright who thinks the white people in this country invented AIDS to kill black people, donated thousands of dollars to this mans church as he sat in the pews for twenty years nodding with agreement all those years before the light of the public shined for a fleeting instant on that rathole.
People dont care.
Obama has vowed on recorded film to gut our military
People dont care.
Obama is corrupt to the core, steered money towards his family (wife) and friends.
People dont care.
Obama is an avowed socialist who believes in redistribution of wealth. In his own words: "One of the I think tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributed change and in some ways we still suffer from that." And also, this: "But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And to that extent as radical as people tried to characterize the Warren court, it wasnt that radical. It didnt break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted, and the Warren court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states cant do to you, it says what the federal government cant do to you, but it doesnt say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf." And this: "...but Im not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts..."
People dont care.
Obama thinks higher taxes are the way to fix our problems.
People dont care.
Obama thinks higher gasoline prices are good for us.
People dont care.
Obama thinks guns should be banned.
People dont care.
Obama has dishonorably bowed at the waist as a supplicant a la POW Dick Stratton (who did it bravely and honorably to his captors) to a Saudi King, something NEVER before done by a US President. As such, he has clearly telegraphed one of two things to the leaders and intelligence agencies both friend and foe: He is either incredibly stupid and naive, or he is deliberately sending a signal to those who are paying attention of his view of Americas new place in the world and his desire to set that place at the table for us.
People dont care.
They better start caring pretty damn soon.
Lets see the comedians Colbert and Stewart discuss this one? They wont and thait brain dead cult followers will stay ignorant.
In his attempt not to waste a crisis, the crafty Andy Stern omitted that the free enterprise capitalism economic system in our republican form of government served America well.
Constitution Article IV. Section IV.
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government. A Republic means the rule of law governs America, not the rule of a majority of men, as it would be in a Democracy.
Socialist like Andy Stern should answer what he suggests replaces Americas Constitution. Have you ever seen a study, report, or analysis indicating America's greatness was attributed to government program?
What made America great and set it apart from other lands?
Was it natural resources, no other lands are equally blessed.
Was it the people, no, the people who built America came from elsewhere.
Was it government planning and wisdom that spurred America to great heights, no again?
It wasnt what government did that made America great, it was what government was preventing from doing that made the difference. What set America apart from other lands was freedom for the individual, freedom to work, to produce, to succeed, and especially to keep the fruits of ones labors. American became great precisely because America prevented the stifling effect of too much government. The government cannot legitimately redistribute the wealth, assume power over the peoples lives, and dominate mans existence with oppressive taxation, regulations, and controls.
According to Americas founders, government was to leave people alone. Governments sole function is to protect citizens from one another and from foreign governments, and especially from their own government.
The founders did not create a government to take from some to give to others. They understood that when a government starts doing something for one citizen it has to take from another to do so and in the process, it gains control over both.
Gaining control is the socialist agenda. Obama and his advisors are attempting to replace America's Republic with a Democracy because they know Socialism cannot prevail without first achieving a Democracy. In a Democracy, the majority can ignore the rule of law.
