Technically, modern Russia has no Church / State separation, and this could be worked out. The Orthodox church is the State church.

Still a bit early to start angering the violent atheists in that country. It was only about 20 years ago that communism fell.

I urge those FREEPers interested in putting a positive face on I.D. to go to imdb.com at this site:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1091617/

and "rate" the Ben Stein documentary "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" as a ten.

Atheists have taken the film's rating down to 3.7.

I read somewhere recently that there were (Red) Chinese scientists that had discovered fossil records that also throw serious questions on the Theory of Evolution. I wish I had kept the link but somebody on this forum will have it I am sure.

Add this to a list of things to like about the Orthodox church.

The way the question is usually phrased is "Should religion be put on an equal standing with evoloserism in public schools?" and the correct answer is, only if the religion you pick is the RIGHT one. I.E. in order to have an apples to apples comparison you'd need a religion which operated on an intellectual level similar to that of evolution and the only two candidates would be Voodoo and Rastafari.

God Bless the Orthodox Church for renewing its mission to liberate minds from Darwinism and relativism.

Yes, evolution is a scientific theory. As such it explains the evidence and allows accurate prediction.

Creationism is not a scientific theory and is an intellectual dead end that leads nowhere in terms of use or discovery.

If you want to instruct students in science in science class (a radical and novel idea to some apparently), then keep out religious dogma. It has no place there. Teach religion in religion class, that is where it belongs.
