The fact that Eternal Vigilance likes this guy is a strike against him in my book. I hope other things can make me think that he’s otherwise okay. I’d like to support someone who isn’t a lawyer. I’m not in that district, but that district splits my parish. I often end up involved in that race.

First off, you're in luck. Kristian is NOT a lawyer. He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Technology, as well as a Masters of Science degree in Engineering and Technology Management. He has never run for political office and does not wish to be a career politician. Kristian is concerned for the future of his children and the type of country we are leaving to them. I've had several discussions with him and trust him and his motivations one hundred percent. Throughout my eleven plus years as a Freeper, I've defended the Constitution, My belief in God, and the wonderful place that I call home, Louisiana. I am not one to endorse lightly. Kristian Magar is EXACTLY the type of candidates we need to support if we want to regain control of our country. Of all those running in this district, he is the one most like us normal folks. I hope you check into him and try to see him next time he's in your area. I am positive that you will be impressed!

Thanks for the reply. A friend of mine in the half of the parish that is in the 3rd district met him recently, and she was impressed. She also likes one or two of the other candidates, so I get the impression that she’s still undecided. However, her good impression of him helps to sway me. If he comes back this way for another event, I’ll look forward to meeting him.

I tell you what, he's a hell of a lot better than Downer and Landry. I'm very impressed with him.
My hope is that Downer and Landry keep taking swipes at each other and exposing their dirty laundry.
My biggest fear is that Downer gets elected, we don't need that "Good Old Boy" ex-Dem Rat elected.

PS: Thanks for letting me know about Kristian a month or so ago. Before then I had no idea who he was. Unfortunately a lot of folks in my area (Thibodaux/Houma) have no idea who he is.
