THE WHITE HOUSE, WASHINGTON, DC -- Senior White House officials acknowledged Wednesday afternoon that the new regime of UN Security Council sanctions against Iran would not be sufficient in and of itself to change the behavior of the Iranian government and convince its leaders to stop its nuclear weapons program.
But, they emphasized, these sanctions are just the beginning the 1 of a 1,2,3 punch, as one senior White House official put it.
The next step: on June 17 the European Council will meet and impose even stricter sanctions on Iran. Then Congress will pass additional tough sanctions, which the President will sign.

There is nothing that will change Iran's mind about nuclear weapons, they want to be armed with them. They don't care what we think, they know that the world does not have the will to attack them, and that's the only thing that will stop them.

Translation: We always knew that sanctions were an empty exercise, but we felt we needed to go through with them so that when Iran gets the bomb - as we desired all along, I might add - we will still maintain a certain plausible deniability, as least as far as the water-carrying MSM is concerned.

Tape those sanctions to some 500 pounders and then you might get their attention.

Yes! That worked so well with Iraq.
Senior White House Officials must be:
A few bricks short of a load.
A few cards short of a full .
A fries short of a happy meal.
A few crumpets short of a proper tea.
A few sandwiches short of a picnic.
A few beers short of a six-pack.
A few clowns short of a circus.

The Left said we shouldn’t use sanctions on nations anyway.
Remember their constant bitching about the sanctions against Iraq?
But, they emphasized, these sanctions are just the beginning the 1 of a 1,2,3 punch
I hope Israel is standing by with 2 and 3

Iran will get nuclear weapons. This is inevitable, I fear. Upon using such a weapon, the world mood then would allow coalition forces to annilate the current Iranian regime, I believe.
