The Senate has rejected a bid to stop the Obama administration from imposing regulations on greenhouse gases, giving a boost to President Barack Obama as he pursues broader clean energy legislation.
Senators turned back a resolution that would have rescinded the authority of the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.
Supporters of the measure, mostly Republicans, argued that the EPA had usurped the authority of Congress to set climate policy and that the EPA regulations would increase energy costs and kill jobs.

I won’t click on Google if I can help it. What was the vote count?
They had more than we did.
I can’t believe enough dim’s and rino’s haven’t realized AGW is a fraud, or at least that they are ending their own careers.
I was curious if they had a lot more or a few more than we did.
We will get one in November.
Is anyone surprised? I’m not. They know their time is limited. Watch them cram as much through as they can between now and November. Pray for our survival until then. And thank God we are a nation of laws, that can be undone!
>>No recovery for sure now.
Between this and the adverse effect of the Gulf drilling ban, you’ve got that right.
Next congressional term this should be item number one, right ahead of repealing Obamacare.
Defund the EPA and these other phony cabinet departments.
except the news will say we’re recovering.....
Its looking more like the last scene of Scarface every day, with the US economy as Tony Montana and congress as Sosa’s goons.
november,,,
If they can bankrupt the energy sector , then they’ll nationalize that next.
A gubermint(free range) chicken in every pot and GE windmill in every yard.
“november,,,”
Its going to be a close thing to see if we last that long.
What are you surprised?
Of course the energy price spike will be blamed on big oil, not meddling politicians.
Politicians have wonderful jobs - always treated like experts and their f**k ups are always blamed on someone else....

Bummer.
Maybe there is one silver lining- Obama owns this now, and the failed recovery that results will be his problem.
In the words of Col Sherman Potter...”Horse Hockey.”
6 dems crossed the line and voted Yes..
Bayh, Landrieu, Lincoln, Nelson, Pryor, Rockefeller
“Bayh, Landrieu, Lincoln, Nelson, Pryor, Rockefeller”
All but Bayh worried about their re-election and Bayh most likely worried about his Presidential run in 2012.
Thank you.
All but a couple needed political cover.
Maybe I missed something but I didn’t spot one Republican on the list that voted against it. Certainly looks like it was mostly Democrat — it was all Democrat!
Next step is a suit to challenge the right of the EPA to regulate this under the existing statute.
He has no conscience or soul and seems to care less about the results of his actions. He's a tool of the Soro's machine and operates guilt-free, with no concern about his legacy.

I am sure by now he’s already has plans for a retirement home/library in Kenya after he leaves office.
Thanks for checking,
Neither did I.
minus 6 whose states are energy savvy
Those who voted for it should have to defend it.

And while ALL HOPE of stopping the Double-Dip Recession of 2011 has now faded (at least until the November 2010 election), Algore's stock portfolio got a little stronger today ...

“6 dems crossed the line and voted Yes..

I hope the people of Wisc. will be reminded of how Feingold voted.
Ain’t that the truth, we are so screwed now...........
November
Gee, and AP didn’t say who voted how.
The price of energy is going to necessarily skyrocket.
let. the. b@stards. freeze. in. the. dark.
The Obama administration would be smart to avoid legislation and rules that have even a remote possibility of slowing the economy. Voters aren’t interested in economy-slowers now.
You know that! what ever will enrage a real American these traitors will try to pass.
Amen! If the duties of their departments are not SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the US Constitution, strip all the funding and dissolve them IMMEDIATELY!
EPA, HUD, HHS are just a few that spring to mind right now.
Well, you are right...laws aren’t frequently ‘undone’ so much as made obsolete by new laws/regulations. Occasionally, regulations are lifted...but you make a valid point. The laws are so convoluted now, nobody knows what’s going on.
November...Vote ‘em all out.
On the contrary they are rejecting the Texas refinery permit in an ongoing stonewall (this vote was partly about that rejection). They have been fighting Texas since last year on the permit and are now threatening to revoke all of Texas regulatory authority.

The simple fact is the Obama administration doesn't care what voters think especially since they completely control the media on issues like this.
True.
