Not that I’m arguing for one moment that the NAACP people complaining here are not witless imbeciles, but why do people assume that companies have a responsibility to take a stand against this sort of thing? The aim for any company is to make money, and if the best way to do that is not to get into a stupid argument with a load of unfortunately influential dumbf***s, then they’re doing what they have to do... That is the unfortunate thing about being involved in business, especially in retail. Sometimes you have to deal with customers who are out and out idiots and try your best not go out of your way to offend them by telling it as you see it...

The only thing that could inspire racism in this whole affair is the LA NAACP’s response. If one were to mistakingly think that the LA NAACP was actually representative of African Americans, one might be inclined to question their intellectual capacity.
