I think it was great for her to try. I also think her family should reimburse the taxpayers of Australia. Were I an Aussie taxpayer, I'd be pretty pissed that my government spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the dream of an American teenager.

I see you are ‘in Ohio’ and if you go boating or fishing on Lake Erie and get in trouble and have to have the Coast Guard rescue you, I hope you remember your words. Obviously if you are out there and get in trouble, you should not have been out there - pay or drown.
