international studies and sociology and a double minor in nonprofit administration and African studies. She ... took challenging courses,

Bull. Not in those fields.

Challenging=calculus. I'm bettin' that wasn't anywhere to be found on her transcript.

Just so. Illustrates the emerging awareness that anything ending in "studies" is worthless. And she has two of them.

Not all Intl studies are that easy. I took one as a second major. Four classes in economics and three years of a foreign language.

I took sociology. That was a frikking joke, but at the time, I remember being completely enamored of it. Some years later, I realized that it was collectivist BS.

Hard? Physical Chemistry nearly gave me a nervous breakdown, it was so close to the edge of what I was able to comprehend.

Sociology was a joke. African Studies? Yeah, that will get you a job in the government somewhere.

And, of course, these morons in power think a degree in “non-profit administration” is the end-all and be-all of anything to aspire to.

calculus

Has a lot in common with a emasculatome, both are ba** busters. I remember my first big test, I made 35, about the top of the normal bell cure for the class, some Japanese kid made 95. I dropped the class the next day.

Calculus is one thing. In depth study of Middle Eastern history is another. Having taken both at the same time I'd say Calculus is a pud course ~ 10 minutes of study a day MAX! ME History required refurbishing reading knowledge of Spanish and French, and studying the geography of the entire Moslem World ~ and that was just to keep up with the guy teaching the course ~ the world's foremost expert concerning the Kurds.

It was a bear and a half, and all the people in the course worked for Air Force intelligence ~ except me!

calculus..pshaw! Try Organic Chem, second semester. Hardest course in college. Don’t bother working that semester if you want “A” performance.
