” “If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that’s what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it. “

Herein lies the problem. McCain is not 80%, he is 10%, so the 80% rule doesn’t apply.

Palin has actively campaigned for McCain here for months, if you include her daily radio ads.

Like I said, try Bachmann. She doesn’t endorse or campaign for that rat bastard, McCain.

Who is the ideal conservative out there? Who is your ideal candidate? Who do you support as carrying the Conservative torch?

Refusal to confront what McCain has done, and why he and those who back him are unfit to hold public office, if we’re truly looking for people well grounded in Conservatism.

Sarah Palin is unfit to hold public office because she supports John McCain in his Senate primary?

Have you asked Jim Robinson about this?

"I love Palin’s conservatism and patriotism! She may very well support McCain out of loyalty and I have no problem with that. And I have no problem with whom she supports with her PAC. There is nothing written that says she has to do everything (or anything at all) according to JIM.

"Sarah is unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun, pro-limited government and so am I. And she’s wildly popular among the God-loving, Liberty-loving folks with whom I choose to associate. In short, she’s a refreshing breath of clean fresh air in an otherwise putrid failure of a RINO infested party.

"She represents my interests better than any other viable wannabe at this point and if she decides to run, she will have my undivided support!!"

- Jim Robinson, January 09, 2010

From past experience, I’ve known Jim to get rather testy as people back the more Liberal candidate in weeks leading up to an election. In McCain’s case, that would be a vast understatement of a description too.

Palin has also endorsed Bachmann; does that mean - as rabscuttle385 and others claim - Bachmann is also a RINO?

And I’m curious about the 10% for McCain? Just wondering what’s the standard for measuring? For example, I put weight in actual actions and votes, and use the ACU and NTU ratings to weigh the conservatism of a candidate. A 10% would be someone like Feinstein or Feingold, not McCain.

Just curious about what standards are used for your evaluation of a candidate.

Chunga, can you think of one thing that has happened since January to alter Jim’s total take on Palin?

Endorsements perhaps?

Pumping full speed ahead for a Ted Kennedy Conservative perhaps?

John MeCain perhaps?

What’s your take on this post?

” And I’m curious about the 10% for McCain? Just wondering what’s the standard for measuring? “

I made that abundantly clear in post 187, but I’ll indulge you

1) cut personal taxes.

Cut taxes for small business.

Eliminate the death tax.

Cut spending to the bone. Government only takes from productivity, and that comes right out of the private sector.

No Cap N Trade...man made global warming has already been rendered a complete fraud.

No amnesty. No “path to citizenship”: which is just amnesty with a fine, which nobody will pay.

Enforce the laws on illegal immigration which have been ignored for 2 decades.

No anchor babies. The law says they don’t count, but once again, the law has been ignored.

Keep a strong military. The world is full of lunatics.

If I missed anything, ask.

Read post 187, and tell me where Jim Rob or I am wrong.

Ahh...yes, you and JR, two peas in a pod.

Now...point me to his anti-Palin posts. Thanks in advance.

I actually had to break down boxes. I’m a svelte 6’3” at 200, for all the ladies looking for a good guy. :^)

OK, I see 9 issues. On two of them (cap-and-trade and amnesty) I agree, he fails. His votes on the other issues show that he’s on the same presumed side as you. Meaning he’d rate a 7/9, or about 78%. A far cry from a 10%...

I’ll take your word for it...but if you polled FR on this, I’d be stunned if McCain got more than 10% of the vote. There will always be confused people...but the overwhelming sentiment on this forum has always (since I’ve been here) been very negative on McStain.

Heh, trollin for the conservababes! Being a solid 6 foot and 300 pounds (size 64 jacket with a 36” waist and 28” thighs - not fat, just solid) I love stomping them to pancakes. Of course, I stomp most things to pancakes!

So are you saying out of principle, as a good conservative, she should have turned McCain down?

6’3” and 200lbs?

As a public service could you please post a picture of yourself on your home page? Not that I’m interested, of course, but I have a friend ...
