actually, I would rather listen to a non angry conservative that is also passionate...like Dennis Prager. Rage and anger does not make a good substitute for rational strength...sorry.

That’s what makes horse racing fabian. Savage can be grating to many ears too, so it’s not just his anger that keeps him at number 3.

Mind you, I don’t fully trust Savage for a number of reasons. Were you a regular on this daily following, you’d know how I call him out when he, er, sounds a flat note or two. Trust no man you don’t personally know, and even then, trust only in the Lord.

Savage rides point for the Right. His outbursts serve to break new ground and to cushion people like Prager. See, “at least he’s not as extreme as Savage” has its use. You may not like him or his style, but he and it are needed badly.

Savage’s is a very difficult job. With the single exception of his being double crossed by the TV staff at MSNBC, he has always kept his words in check on-air. You’re human Fabian. I bet you couldn’t do what he does. I know I couldn’t.

As far as Prager. I’d been a Prager listener since his Religion on the Line days. I became a regular fan in the early 90s when he went opposite Rush. That’s a tough slot to be in. So I know Prager well.

Prager has gotten more intense since Savage came on the scene in good measure because of the ground that Savage blazed. Prager needed to be able to display more anger as the Left got crazier and it’s working for him.

One more thing. You may eventually figure this out on your own, but nobody on Salem Broadcasting can safely be trusted not to be too close to power and its corruption. Prager moral status has been compromised. See Matthew 19:24.

When he urged the passage of the TARP, without acknowledging that he has no real knowledge — heck he’s maybe the worst arithmetic student to ever stand behind a microphone (forget about economics) — and went full Godwin’s Law horrorshow panicky about the need for it, he blew it with me.

OTOH, Savage was almost alone (I think William can attest how alone or few others) in warning that the TARP was a sham rush job (it garnered him even more enemies). And worse: that it would usher in Dems, and that they’d go wild with the precedent breaking poor vetting of huge price tag legislation. With Savage it was maybe a lucky guess, but Prager displayed terrible fear to compound his awful lack of knowledge of economics.

I know the nature of most fans Fabian, and you’ll probably reflexively mount a defense of Prager out of some sense of loyalty. It’s natural. I understand. And I appreciate your view. But nothing is normal anymore in case you haven’t noticed. Old yardsticks need to be replaced.

Well, anyway, you did me a favor by expressing your view. It spurred me to think about what’s wrong with Prager from my experience. I probably would never have written any of this had you not brought him up. The poor man is nowhere near the good moral guide he was 30 years ago.

If you’re still reading, the best thing you can take away from this is you develop more of a wariness of all radio talk show hosts.

Congress may constitutionally be prevented from passing laws abridging freedom of the press, but they can hold up the radio frequency re-licensing process.

Understand?

FCC: “Nice business you have there Salem. Be a shame if some of your paper work got lost.” /Rahm

Every talk radio host has some issues, I agree...with the exception of Roy Masters who trully is aware of the mastermind controllers who are converting us to communism. He teaches the only true antidote...non judgmental strength..patience...not being irritated. THat is what the darkness is in fear of, a moral and happy people who cannot be made mad. With that is the real power. And Michael uses the substitute, anger. Not good. It is eating away at his insightful soul. The trail was blazed well before Savage by Roy who was one of the very first conservative talk radio hosts and also Rush. Rush used to be more light hearted and witty..funny. He is letting them get him irritated too.

Are you aware that Masters and Savage have always been close?

Prager is still great, I used to love his ‘Religion on the Line’ shows, (don’t know why he quit doing them) but I try to catch his show everyday when he is on.

No. I do know that Roy has problems with Micheal’s rage.

RE: "actually, I would rather listen to a non angry conservative that is also passionate...like Dennis Prager. Rage and anger does not make a good substitute for rational strength...sorry."

I have expressed admiration for Savage for the very reason that you criticize him. I am absolutely convinced that it was his calling. (No pun intended.)

Why?

Because I survived the "Fairness Doctrine" horror -- the silenced majority era.

It may mean nothing to you but for me I am still livid about how Goldwater was treated, about how supporting the Tenth Amendment earned you screams of "Racist!" "Bigot!" About how the emerging modern conservative movement was trashed -- for example it was deliberately and falsely blamed by liberals for the assassination of JFK and others.

You think it's bad today with the MSM? -- try it without modern talk radio and the Internet -- you had to search among and behind all the publications in news stands to find conservative views. Yeah some cities had conservative newspapers but TV networks were fast becoming the sole source of news for most Americans and newspapers were disappearing. Though Time and U.S. News were pretty good back then.

The slightest disagreement with a liberal feeeeeeeeeeeeling resulted in screams of "Racist!" "Nazi!" "Hate monger!"

Conservatives for years (at least from the '60s into the '90s) would hang their head, slink away, looking back pleading "I'm not a racist. I'm not . . . ." Most often the conservative would yield -- it became a kind of dialectic trick that the Left used to get exactly what they wanted.

Savage changed that! He's giving it back! Savage proved that you could give it back to the bastards -- and win!

Though I did not know of Joe Pyne's syndicated radio show I do remember his short-lived TV show. He didn't take that liberal crap. He was kicked off the air as the liberal lying jerks like James "Scotty" Reston of the NY Times led the liars against modern consrvative's "hate and violence that killed is buddy JFK." While on the same f'ing page of the New York Times were articles about Oswald's connections to "Fair Play for Cuba," et al.

I got plenty more.. like whenever there was a Soviet Union "wars of liberation" conflict in a Africa or South America and I wanted to know which side was which I needed only to view a few seconds of TV network "news" to see which side got the favorable treatment.

.. and the letters of complaint I sent to the networks got back a "We're professionals and you are not" response.

There's lots more.

Prager is good but he reminds me of those "Fairness Doctrine" days especially when he sounds like Miss Manners.

O, I don’t know. Dennis dukes it out but he does not get angry at his liberal oponents. That’s because he has a deep understanding of their “religion” which has captured their minds. They really are very ill people! And yelling and getting angry at them is exactly what the darkness wants! That makes us reactionary rather than strong and happy conservatives. Sorry, but there is nothing that should take away our happiness. Nothing. Some say that Jesus was angry in the temple throwing out the money changers; but nowhere in the bible does it say so. It is through patience that great strength comes out. anger is a substitute and a poor one. If you want to really be free, try the “coping strategies” used by our military at fhu.com. It is helping to remake real Americans.

“Dennis dukes it out but he does not get angry at his liberal opponents.”

That is true most of the time. But keep an ear for how he is gets angry at conservative dissenters, even slightly differing from him, much sooner and more. Anger for getting out of line but not for opposition? Who made him general and issued him a figurative sidearm? Same question applies to Savage btw.

OMG. Just now, Prager demonstrated how he fearlessly steps out on a subject of which he has only a vague understanding.

It was in an aside addressing the NAACP attempting to get publicity over its inanely charging Hallmark with racism for using the word black hole.

Prager confused black holes with the definition of dark matter. It isn’t that hard a concept. But in an indirect way, by his confusing DARK matter with BLACK holes, Prager may have added fuel to the fire the race hustlers started.

RE: "Sorry, but there is nothing that should take away our happiness."

Happiness begins with the freedom to be happy.

I am glad W.W.II took place a couple of generations ago. We'd lose today.

.. now about those Mascratii (1960s Marxist-Alinsky street/campus rabble and their ideological issue) and their Islamist radical Muslim allies trying to destroy our freedom . . . .

Oh. Before I forget, I neglected to write down for the record how Prager confused it.

“Black holes are what the universe is mostly made up of. It’s everywhere.”

He was attempting to see humor in the part of the NAACP woman’s statement that the use of black holes adds to the dismissals of black women, making them insignificant, hurting their feelings, a number of different things like like that.

What an opportunity LOST!

Dennis, Dennis, Dennis. Black holes are the most attractive forces in the universe! Jeesh!

Yes, there is a constant warfare by the darkness to establish satans kingdom here in America. Of course his unwitting dupes think it will be some kind of fair socialist nation.

Of course, freedom to be happy. But most people are not aware of the thoughts and irritations that take away that happiness. Those irritations serve as lifes fuel...but it’s the wrong kind of fuel!
