Enviros: Fire Ken Salazar (Small groups only, Sierra Club, etc., to run ad praising Obama on oil)
KDVR Fox 51 ^ | Monday, June 14, 2010 | Eli Stokols

On the 56th day of the worst environmental disaster in U.S. History, a group of conservationists and scientists are calling on President Barack Obama to fire Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.

The letter, signed by more than 100 groups and individuals, doesn't blame the former U.S. Senator from Colorado for all the corruption and other problems that have plagued the Interior Department and predate his tenure as Secretary; instead, it blames him for failing to clean it all up as he promised to do when he took over.

"We think that Ken Salazar's time is up," said Nicole Rosmarino, with WildEarth Guardians, which authored the letter mailed to the White House Monday.

SNIP

While Rosmarino's letter has not been signed by any of the larger environmental groups like the Sierra Club, it marks a departure from the mainstream environmental movement's low-key reaction to the crisis.

An advertisement paid for by environmental groups, including the Sierra Club, will appear in the Washington Post Tuesday thanking -- yes, thanking -- Obama for putting a drilling project in Alaska on hold, this as oil continued to spill into the Gulf. Sierra Club chairman Carl Pope told a Maine newspaper last week that Obama is, in his view, the "best environmental president since Teddy Roosevelt."

Had such a spill taken place on a Republican president's watch, environmentalists would likely have already unleashed their unholy wrath on both the president and his deputies.

While major environmental groups may be so beholden to the administration to help usher through their agenda that they're afraid to criticize Obama or Salazar too harshly, smaller groups -- the Andean Tapir Fund, Canadian Horse Defence Coalition and Prairie Dog Action are among those calling for Salazar's scalp -- are no longer holding back.

He is a long-time and well known Dim Bulb. When he was named secretary, I couldn’t believe it, then I just figured it was one of BO’s equal opportunity hires that had nothing to do with the subject matter at hand and everything to do with his hispanidad. I am surprised it took this long for him to begin unraveling.

This guy is incredibly delusional.

I’d say that statement clearly precludes the environment as the principle concern of the Sierra Club.

The Sierra Club isn’t about the enviroment. It’s about money.

"This guy is incredibly delusional."

I think it is typical cult of personality behavior. Many of Obama's drones will not be critical of him, no matter how badly he handles things. They will call for the firings or resignations of anyone and everyone in his administration without hesitation in an attempt to deflect the heat from Obama. And in reality the one who really needs to resign is: Obama.

We've known for a long time that the Sierra Club is nothing but an arm of the Democratic Party.

My favorite story is when Rick Lazio was running against Hillary in 2000 and he made a big deal of his "100% Sierra Club voting record." He was running against Hillary, who had no public record on environmental issues, except that she had been on the board of Tyson Foods when they were cited numerous times by the EPA for groundwater pollution.

The Sierra Club, of course, endorsed Hillary.

Envirowhackos always were flamers looking for unlimited budgets, unlimited attention, unlimited life style, unlimited means, unlimited legislation, unlimited powers and unlimited homosexual/pedophile like insurance spending standards above their means.

They have seen the “light” in Zero and they support him.

We are dealing with a bunch of Nazi media supported liberal tyrant flamers, from Congress and all over.

As the Bible states: and the waters turned to poison. This is what happens when you institute gay civil rights, as if it were a budget gays could not carry, like a black skin of sorts they want to do nothing to change.

This is LEGISLATING AND LEGALIZING tyranny and corruption ON THE BOOKS.

The Sierra Club has been bought off by the KING OF DEEP DRILLING, Mr George Soros.
