Please ignore his opinions. The guest begins talking at about the 2 minute mark.

Sadly, this comports with much of the stories we are hearing about information suppression.

I hate posting this from his vile show. That said, what his guest says absolutely comports with other sources (including those we FReepers regard as friendly to us) have been saying.

It's quite the pisser that left and right will have to unite (at least for a moment) over such a tragedy.

If the democrats what to complete the American conversion to marxism, they're doing it without my help.

Excuse me but where in the US Constitution does it say anyone has to tell the "News Media" anything?

I don't get this concept of "information suppression" Do the Leftist clown posse of hysteric propagandists lead by Overtliar here think people HAVE to tell them everything they want to know?

Same here. I detest what BP ushered in here, but destroying it isn’t going to help anyone.

Watching Obama use this situation to his own ends tonight is going to be painful.

left and right will have to unite (at least for a moment) over such a tragedy.

Unite with Waxman to do what? Use this accident (or malfeasance, or coverup or whatever) to takeover the oil industry?

WTF are you talking about?

Should we have abolished elections for the presidency because we elected a crook in Nixon?

Plug the hole. Prosecute the lawbreakers and hold the government accountable for oversight that was not done.

Join the 5th column in order to punish the concept of private corporations? NFW!!!!!

Don’t misunderstand me; I don’t mean that a bit.

What I mean is this: Multiple sources (both left and right) are noting that things are not quite as they seem; we are all being lied to, evidently.

We’re all being told lies about the size of the problem, the pressure, the solutions, and the damage being caused. A FReeper earlier posted some absolutely stunning pics of the real problem in the Gulf.

Trust me, I’m no Marxist, and certainly no fan of KO. I ran across the interview with this lady by accident.

That said: Both sides should DEMAND honesty from both BP and the Obama Administration.

Because, as far as I can tell, they think they can fool all of us.

I can be angry at BP without being irrational.

The glee on FR that this was going to be his Katrina waned quickly. Like a child squealing in glee that he'd caught the tiger's tail!

When are we going to learn? Perhaps by Obama's third inaugural address we'll all "get it."

I can only go by what is posted here because I will not ever, even for a nanosecond, watch Olbermann. However, to answer it.....The left only needs the right when something needs to be done. They are about empty rhetoric and endless debate whereas our side is about action. So let them keep debating and maybe passing resolutions ad nauseum. Me? Could I fix it? YES. I'm a toolmaker with 20+ years of experience and looking at the well head I have no doubt that I could stop it. But hey...who am I? I'm no community organizer or crusader for "social justice" so what do I know?
....And, Who is John Galt?

I want to know the well head pressure on this well. People are saying that the pressure was from 20,000 to 70,000 psi. People are saying that all of the safety measures known to control this well were destroyed by taht pressure.

What about the benzene? This has not been filtered out like it usually is.

What is the parts per billion of benzene in the air in the gulf? are the workers at risk? Are the people at risk?

What is the true amount coming out each day?

What other harmful pollutants are going to come on shore in the form of solids, liquids or evaporates?

The glee on FR that this was going to be his Katrina waned quickly.

It was a lot easier for those of us further from the situation to begin sorting out the speculation, hyperbole, and facts. There's plenty of blame to go around and even a little that falls on our shoulders but the lion's share goes to BP and Obama.

Which I think is the exact thing that is called for here.

BP deserves to be held accountable, monetarily and criminally. And while were talking about penalties, the oversight agency of the federal/state governments should bear some of the blame for this.

As I understand it, BP actually received commendations for this specific oil platform operation.

Good call on your part.

“Information suppression” is the tool of tyrannies.

If it is happening here, we need to condemn it - and destroy any and all attempts to enforce this. Period!

Meanwhile, 24% STRONGLY APPROVE of Obama’s job. And roughly 50% Approve of what he’s doing.

that will get a bump up tonight.

It’s pretty much the same report that NBC and CBS had last night on their evening news shows. And it should no come as a great surprise for anyone who has followed BP since their arrival in America.

Their SOP has been to cut corners, go cheap and take great risks with the lives of their employees. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

While you’re correct that the Constitution does not require them to report anything, evidently our founders thought it important enough that they have the freedom to do so.

They have NOT used this Constitutional “carve-out” well.

But this is one of those times that it is useful. Is the gov’t deliberately hiding the damage from this, in order to protect the Obama administration or BP (which is in bed with the Obama people, from stem to stern)?

Btw, it is not only “left leaning” people who want to know what is going on, and why they aren’t allowed to find out. There are right leaning operations asking the same questions. Evidently chemicals are being released into the air from this drill that are X 1000 of the safe numbers. Those numbers aren’t from Chris Matthews. They are from pretty right wing Christians who are mortified; as they are percentages that kill people and unborn children. And the test numbers are from a week ago, and measured by the EPA.

And on this, YES....they HAVE TO TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT TO KNOW.

This is their way of life, their way to make a living and provide for their families. For the young and the old, and those with health issues, it may end up being a matter of life and death.
