Sonoma race thread is up Ping!
1st?
2nd?
Road-course blues...
Thanks for the ping, Norm.
and Happy Father's Day to all!
Sonoma. Ewwwww... But its NASCAR.
Top 10 for MC!
On roll!!!
GO KEV!!
Would work better if they were Fords, but Dodge was on the ball. ;)
I live in Santa Rosa which is normally less than an hour away from Infineon. On race day, though, it’s closer to three hours each way. So as much as I’d like to be there, I’ll be watching on TV.
I won't be on the live thread, though. They kinda frown on me using my laptop at my corner station. :)
I’m planning to have dinner before I leave worker camping on Sunday. With no traffic I can get to the track from my house in San Jose in an hour and a half. During a pro event there, it can take me almost that long to get from the track to US 101!
You deliberately waited until I left the house to post this thread!!!

Yes, Guilty! I admit it. I’m psychic that way, I reckun. :-)
Thanks for the link!
SMOKE @ Infineon ,,, Tony rules the road course .
Only if Flash Gordon calls in sick that day...
Woooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Nationwides at Road America for 1st time!!
Woooooo!!!
They’ll be spinning off the ‘Kink’ like the leaves of fall.
Cannot wait.

Go JOEY THE KID!!!
The USS Lexington is on Ghost Hunters tonight on SciFi.
iPhone!
Saw the Jelly Belly billboard. Never heard of them.
Wow, they have distribution in 14 countries including five outlets in my area.
Cool. Will check it out.
I post this only to show you that the sun does shine on the North Coast as it does in Sonoma...
The dummies couldn’t find anything. The whole carrier is a ghost, ask the Japanese!
That was to the right where the access road meets the parking area. The S/O busted 2 guys last week for car clouts nearby. They should put up a webcam on the building for surveillance...
Thanks Norm!
Just a walk in the park for those guys...
Maybe they need to establish criteria for it. For example, larger than a biscuit, sharper than a shark's tooth, more dangerous than a White House reporter, etc.
Ping!
A lot of buts and what ifs, must be a slow news day to actually report on phantom daybreeze.
So you don’t subscribe to the fact that race winners are selected by the highest bidder during the pre-race drivers meetings?
Alas, I wish we could make it but we’ll be putting the finishing painting touches on the (only) son’s new doghouse + moving his stuff this weekend. His much awaited move is finally happening after months of planning and perserverance.
I’ll be with you in spirit. Be back next week.
Uh no. LOL
Oh, we don’t do oysters down here during June. Don’t know if it’s just the Texas coast, our area, or the whole Gulf, but you only harvest oysters in months with an “R” in it.
Probably. ROFLMAO
We’ll see ,,,, post race ping coming .
Cool. Thanks for the reminder.. I’m all for beer, wifey loves the oysters.
Looks like a nice week-end at the track..

Six road ringers heading to Sonoma
Time for the road-course specialists to dust off the cobwebs
http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/blog/from_the_marbles/post/Time-for-the-road-course-specialists-to-dust-off;_ylt=AoAi3MDRXNwFuGk81SczmHjov7YF?urn=nascar,248570
We’re now at one of the two weeks in the year when the old “drive fast and turn left” maxim doesn’t hold true, and as you can see by the photo above, NASCAR teams are scouting fast and furious for bounty hunters road-course veterans to man their cars.
This week features two new road specialists in addition to the 44 cars entered every week Brandon Ash in his family-owned No. 02 and P.J. Jones in a second Robby Gordon Motorsports entry. In addition, Jan Magnussen (Phoenix Racing), Boris Said (Latitude 43 Motorsports), Brian Simo (Tommy Baldwin Racing) and Mattias Ekstrom (Red Bull) will be bringing their multidirectional skills to the track this weekend.
So why bring in the road course vets? Simple: money. A road-course stud can qualify far more easily than an oval-oriented type. From there it’s the turn-left-turn-right version of starting and parking in other words, earn your money on qualifying Friday, not race-day Sunday.
