Texas, here we come

Migration statistics reveal that people are moving in droves to Texas. Why? Jobs and no state income taxes. High earning New Yorkers and Californians can take home between 9% and 11% more of their income by moving to Texas.

Startling seeing the outflow from Santa Clara County CA, where I live. There's a huge inflow from the blue states into the Austin area, where I've considered moving. But the same people fleeing taxes and seeking jobs will vote Democrat there and make Texas into what they fled.

We already have enough of that crap in Austin.

BTW, nice screen name.

The point is, they aren't staying in their nest. They are moving to Texas. And they'll be voting Democratic, most likely. Texas conservatives have their work cut out to win hearts and minds if they don't want to be California twenty years from now.

And Texas will welcome them.

All Texans ask in return, is that these people remember WHY they migrated, and don’t bring those values that destroyed their home state, with them and destroy Texas.

The welfare state destroyed California and most Eastern states - so the people flee the high taxes, the high crime rates; then demand that Texas try the same tactics that failed so miserably at home.

Please check your Libtard values at the border, and embrace the Texan hard-working, independant and proud mind-set that you will find in Texas.

I live in Utah, because I must. I have no loyalty (and no small amount of contempt) for Utah, but I would lay my life down for Texas .... God Bless Texas.

Reporter: Tell me Sir, what is the single worst thing to ever happen in the history of the State of Texas?

Native Texan: The Invention of Air Conditioning.

Reporter: And why would you say the invention of air conditioning is the worst thing to ever happen to the State of Texas?

Native Texan: Because, it made it possible for Yankees to live here.

They will all move to Austin, where they can continue to be blue. Alone. They won’t want to live anywhere else in the state because the rest of it is almost all red. Dallas county may be blue, but it doesn’t feel like it with W. living in the area. No card carrying Dimocrap would live in the same town as W, although I’d love to sell them my big-ass Texas McMansion when we downsize next year.

From a native (and some of my ancestors were born in Texas during the Republic):

Texas is not where you were born, but a State of Mind, Heart and Attitude.

Goes something like this:

“Leave us alone to live out lives in peace and we will get along fine, if that is not satisfactory we will deal with it.”

And yes, the peoples republic of Austin is an embarassment that we need to deal with.

Texas conservatives have their work cut out to win hearts and minds if they don't want to be California twenty years from now.

Leftist politicians often target young mothers, knowing they are attracted to authoritarian proposals that superficially sound like they will help build a more secure future for their children. That's the ground where Texas' main battle will have to be fought - it was thoroughly lost by conservatives in California back in the 80's, leading to lifetime tenure for Boxer, Pelosi, and the rest of the statist dictators.

Please take San Antonio off that list. This was a much better place when we had about 600,000 residents. Unfortunately we had a Mayor that convinced people that we could “grow out of problems.” Unfortunately the reverse has been true.

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but...

I would take the same attitude as I do toward immigrants in general.

If you’ve come here to be an American (Texan), welcome.
If you’ve come here to be IN America (Texas) and still be of the culture that you came from - stay home.

HELL IN TEXAS

The devil, we’re told, in hell was chained,
And a thousand years he there remained,
And he never complained, nor did he groan,
But determined to start a hell of his own
Where he could torment the souls of men
Without being chained to a prison pen.

So he asked the Lord if He had on hand
Anything left when He made the land.
The Lord said, “Yes, I had plenty on hand,
But I left it down on the Rio Grande.
The fact is old boy, the stuff is so poor,
I don’t think you could use it in hell any more.”

But the devil went down to look at the truck,
And said if it came as a gift, he was stuck;
For after examining it careful and well
He concluded the place was too dry for hell.
So in order to get it off His hands
God promised the devil to water the lands.

For he had some water, or rather some dregs,
A regular cathartic that smelt like bad eggs.
Hence the deal was closed and the deed was given,
And the Lord went back to His place in Heaven.
and the devil said, “I have all that is needed
To make a good hell,” and thus he succeeded.

He began to put thorns on all the trees,
And he mixed the sand with millions of fleas,
He scattered tarantulas along all the roads,
Put thorns on the cacti and horns on the toads;
He lengthened the horns of the Texas steers
And put an addition on jack rabbits’ ears.

He put little devils in the broncho steed
And poisoned the feet of the centipede.
The rattlesnake bites you, the scorpion stings,
The mosquito delights you by buzzing his wings.
The sand burrs prevail, so do the ants,
And those that sit down need half soles on their pants.

The devil then said that throughout the land
He’d manage to keep up the devil’s own brand,
And all would be mavericks unless they bore
The marks of scratches and bites by the score.
The heat in the summer is a hundred and ten,
Too hot for the devil and too hot for men.

The wild boar roams through the black chaparral,
It’s a hell of a place he has for a hell;
The red pepper grows by the bank of the brook,
The Mexicans use it in all that they cook.
Just dine with a Greaser and then you will shout,
“I’ve a hell on the inside as well as without.”

Bring their rabid liberal ways with them to YOUR town

Find out the best way to take full advantage of local services free

Generally cause trouble

Expect more than they are worth

One of the best things I did was move out of the doomed state of Ohio to the Great Republic of Texas.

It’s not too late to undo what you did! Ohio is TOAST. Columbus (with mayor Coleman-D) is doing all it can to become Ohio’s version of Detroit. Except Cleveland already has. Ohio went blue and is DONE.
