The Liberal Tipping Point Away From Obama (Empty Suit Alert)

....That iconic moment for Obama may well be the image of him last night, hands folded behind that huge empty desk. He was revealed as an impostor, someone play-acting as president and an interloper in serious matters. There wasnt anything particularly wrong with what he said it was that image. He and his presidency seemed shrunken, with the man once considered a political colossus now hiding behind and dwarfed by the props of the office.
Part of the reaction is certainly the steely political calculation by the left that Obama may be a lost cause. But there was also, I think, the flash of insight and the pang of panic by those invested in this president: it is impossible to maintain the pretense that hes larger than life. The man looks entirely out of his league.

Maybe they should have reconstructed that hubris-inducing set from his Denver acceptance speech and instructed him to deliver last night’s drone-o-thon borefest from the podium.

So, who’s surprised?
Obama was an empty suit in 2008. Now he’s an empty suit that’s in way, way over his head.
Watch for the breakdown. He hasn’t got the character for what’s coming.

Watch for the breakdown. That would be funny. However, I am concerned about something worse than that. Oilbama may be dazed and confused, but Rahm Emmanuel and crew are not. They are dangerous people. They see their grip on power slipping away. Who knows what they may attempt.

Its not often that one speech provides an ah, ha! moment of lasting impact, but last night may well have been Obamas. While this would be nice, I'm not convinced. The likes of Chris Matthews can still tingle in his loins when Obama moves. Liberals need to believe the lie. They still will.

The captured media have a huge share of the blame as do the sheep-like public that bought into their line. I hope people get mad enough to really do something about the press. Bunch of liars. NYT, CBS, NBC all ought to be marched on at the same time Washington is.

When Carter the Incompetent was elected to POTUS the cartoonists had a blast. Over the years they began to draw him smaller, and smaller, and smaller to those around him.

Desperation is going to seize the kenyan team of fools. A 42% approval has never happened with a wartime president. He needs a catastrophe and he needs one now. One that he can “fix”, or appear to fix. Riots are what he wants.

I know it might cause you distress but go watch the Olberman/Matthews tag team on Obama after the speech. They were a heck of a lot harder on him than O'Riley, Hannity or Krauthammer were. Chrissy the Sissy said that every time Obama talked about the Nobel Prizes of his staff it made him want to barf. Olberman said he didn't just shoot low, he didn't shoot at all. Face it on the extreme left the love is gone.

Wow you’re right! That/he is strange. I guess he never uses the office, so why make it look like there is actual work going on there. The golf course probably shows more wear and tear.
I didn’t watch the wimp’s speech last night, I just don’t have the stomach for it anymore.

Liberals will always be liberal, but there's an entire generation of wishy-washies out there; people who missed the lessons of the Carter years, who desperately need to be mugged by reality. Once they've had their mugging, a good percentage of them will come around.

What was his pr people thinking? He just keeps reinforcing the reality that he is a total joke. The symbol of a cleared desk doesn't work when the occupant is a small statured unhealthy looking person dressed in a suit that is wearing him. But, it fits in with his latest speeches where he is trying to get patriotic Americans to join the War on Spilled Oil. Crazy man is POTUS.

Still has that Emporor Nero look going for him there. The only thing missing is his fiddle.
To: GonzoGOP
Face it on the extreme left the love is gone. What's more, it's gone for two different reasons...
1. One group of liberals now recognize that the man is an incompetent.
2. Another group of liberals are pissed because he didn't announce a government seizure of BP and a total shutdown of the oil industry.

His no drill policies will kill jobs , drive up the price of oil in the US and make us less secure. At the same time his policies seem to benefit middle East oil drilling countries, Brazil and Soros. His alliances are not with the US

There is only one thing a US President can do that is worse then playing politics with a catastrophic man-made disaster. Doing it from a perfectly clean desk.
