Because only one of those students would have a tuition bill at the university (unless you are suggesting that he enrolled twice at the school, which would make no sense - why would he subject himself to two tuition bills?)

The issue of her facing deportation was mentioned, but Judge James Gritzner said “that issue is for another court on another day.” Authorities did not specify a country.

curious tidbit found after looking at other stories

Not necessarily...Barry lived off-campus during his years at Columbia, and rent in NYC was expensive, even back then. The student loans covered his educational expenses, but who paid for his apartment, utilities, groceries, etc? There’s no record of him working part-time in New York, and we know virtually nothing about his time at Columbia (those records were conveniently sealed). But someone was paying his living expenses during his undergrad days. That’s why the “Sugar Daddy” question is relevant, even at that stage of his life.

I bet that data has been flushed and sanitized!

I didn't intend to eliminate Columbia from the equation. There is also reason to believe that Obama first made contact with Ayers while at Columbia.

I've always believed that Thomas Ayers (Bill Ayers' father) belonged on the list of suspects.

Not quite; the Pell grant goes to the student directly.
I’m sure there are other loans and grants which do the same.

Right. But, still, in order to be eligible to receive those grants, a student needs to be enrolled at a university (and enrollment is verified with the university). So, in order for Obama to have somehow sought both US citizen aid and foreign grants, under different names, he would have had to enroll in the university twice, under different names, thus exposing himself to two tuition bills. It’s just not a realistic story.

ALL student records are “conveniently sealed.”

Look what up?

How could Obama qualify for student loans if he applied for student aid as a foreign student?

Good grief... you can’t google “eligible noncitizen requirements for federal loans”

But you ignore a rather inconvenient fact: candidates from both parties (including George W. Bush and John Kerry) have authorized release of their student records/transcripts. That’s how we found out that Bush was actually a (marginally) better student than Kerry at Yale, though neither could be described as a scholar.

Despite this precedent, Obama refuses to disclose his undergraduate and graduate records. Why?

Only citizens (and, in some cases, permanent residents - but I’ve never seen anyone suggest that Obama is a noncitizen with a green card) are eligible for Federal student loans. Foreign students are eligible for some private student loans, but those do not appear on the databases maintained by the DoE.

Good investigative reporter digging by the conservative media should be able to pry Obama’s transcripts loose. I’m betting that he doesn’t voluntarily release them until it is politically advantageous for him to do so, closer to the next presidential election.
There might well be a Bill Clinton-esque, late Friday afternoon “document drop” in the Fall of 2012 at a time when releasing that information will make Obama’s opposition look petty and small for demanding it.

Both President Bush and Kerry had their transcripts released by newspapers. Bush then released a copy AFTER his transcript had appeared in the Washington Post. Kerry never released a transcript. The Boston Globe got ahold of his transcripts from a Navy application.
