East-Asia-Intel.com, June 9, 2010 The Obama administration is debating whether to dispatch the aircraft carrier strike group led by the USS George Washington to waters near Korea as a show of force.
The strike group would ratchet up pressure on North Korea over its provocative sinking of the South Korean ship Cheonan in March that killed 46 sailors.
The carrier strike group would be sent for a joint U.S.-South Korean anti-submarine drill. The drill was put on hold June 4.
Officials in the Obama administration are opposing the exercises and the carrier strike group deployment over concerns that the show of force will provoke North Korea.
South Koreas government, however, is pushing hard for a military display to deter future North Korean aggression.
South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak has not ruled out a military response to the sinking, although the Obama administration is pushing for a limited, diplomatic response, such as a United Nations resolution or new sanctions.
However, China is opposing any tough show of displeasure and likely would block any UN sanctions.
Tensions remain high in the region after the international investigation showed North Korea was to blame for the Cheonan sinking.
A U.S. official said the dispatch of a carrier strike group is being planned but that a final decision would be made by the White House

Since they're waiting for that, the ships involved haven't even been built yet.
Obama is incapable of making a decision.

By the time Il Douche makes a decision, the slag heap formerly known as South Korea will no longer be radioactive.
Obama wil recommend the Carrier group be scuttled to plug the hole!
My first reaction would be, to what end? Does anyone really believe we would strike North Korea? IF they decided to launch nukes, maybe — but how long would it take to convince Barry we needed to? And if THEY used nukes, why wouldn’t we, rather than just conventional weapons? A “show of force” is worthless if you’re not willing to actually use it. The Norkies know this. I don’t think they’re very worried.
Obama decision for a Portugese Water Dog —7 months.

CVN-76 is most likley close by judging by the sub count...
Good analysis. Obama doesn't seem to want to prove he can pull the trigger, but even if he had such a desire, North Korea is just too big a target. He'll probably launch on Arizona to prove to the world he's got a set.
Has anybody ever considered he may be a coward? A real physical coward?
So then its official Obama is getting ready to come to the aide of the Koreans. The "North" Koreans...
With a Blue Ribbon Committee, of course.
