LINCOLN — An association representing cities and towns across Nebraska has made another contribution — for a total of $25,000 — to fight the proposed illegal immigration ordinance on the ballot Monday in Fremont.

Omaha and Lincoln mayors, among others, are contributing to the opposition of Fremont, Nebraska's proposed ordinance banning employing or renting to illegal immigrants.

Well hey it does happen sometimes here in Nebraska. We have had this big frog in a little puddle for mayor and nobody ran against him. Finally enough people got fed up, three ran against him in our last Primary. He came out so poorly when the votes were counted.

Actually at one point a few years ago he by the skin of his teeth avoided getting bounced in a recall election. It was really interesting how he shut his mouth immediately after that, rather than always blowing about this and that and everything.

Once in awhile good things happen.

So now The League of Nebraska Municipalities joins those groups who oppose the common citizen and who favor drug smuggling, human trafficking, murder, rape, destruction of American property, and the blatant defiance of Federal and State Law.

They need to change their name to reflect their new reality; The League of Mexican Municipalities in Nebraska.

Any self-respecting city in Nebraska would remove themselves from membership in the League immediately.
