We do not speak of people of people that started both world wars and promulgated the Holocaust as those of German blood: Americans of the same bloodlines had no similar inclinations.
It's not the blood or the color of one's skin but the enduring values of an ethnic group that are relevant to the discussion. We should think and speak of blacks in this country as an ethnic group rather than race. The current race rhetoric is both logically flawed and counter-productive.

From a marketing perspective, much of this can simply be attributed to catering to a demographic that has a greater and greater amount of disposable income and influence of purchasing trends. Some groups respond more favorable to familiar images than others. IE, it is just a natural and expected response to changes in growth patterns and purchasing.
I worry more about people who see racism in everything. A Rorschach revelation of their own beliefs.

Not exactly true. We are frequently criticized for the Japanese internment camps in World War II, but we did the same thing to Germans who suppported Hitler. The number was much smaller. We interned about 11,000 Germans mostly off the east coast. This is about 10% of the number of Japanese who were interned.
The Japanese survivors and their families extracted thier pound of flesh when Reagan was president. The German descendants are still looking for the same.
