A new poll from the Florida Chamber of Commerce has good news for Gov Charlie Crist and his independent campaign for the U.S. Senate but it is an outlier compared to other polls taken in June.
The poll showed Crist leading the U.S. Senate race with 42 percent while 31 percent backed the Republican candidate, former House Speaker Marco Rubio. U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, the leading Democrat in the race, trailed with 14 percent. 12 percent were undecided. This conflicts with polls taken earlier in the month showing the independent candidate in a tight race with Rubio. A poll taken by Rasmussen Reports taken on June 7 had Crist and Rubio tied with 37 percent of the vote each while Meek trailed in third with 15 percent. A poll taken by Quinnipiac in the first week of June found Crist slightly ahead of Rubio--37 percent to 33 percent while Meek was in distant third with 17 percent.

The GOP.....they have everything handed to them on a silver platter this year and they are going to screw it up. Florida, Nevada, California. Good grief.
I feel your pain................
A shameless appeal to populism, eh?
Nevada did fine, IMO. CA, not so much.
Yep sure I believe THIS poll... I smell BS...
Dimwits at work trying to steal election. Why all the phony PR now?
How accurate is the Florida Chamber of Commerce Poll compared to say, Rasmussen ?
In what way are they screwing up Florida ? Are they not throwing all of their support for Rubio ?
This is entirely the fact that Dems know their guy is toast and would rather screw the GOP by voting for Crist. The best thing the GOP can do is build up Meeks so he doesn’t look so hopeless.
Could the jump in polls also be because of the gulf spill? He’s the one handling the crisis for his state therefore he automatically gets a boost in poll because any of the southern governors standing next to the “O” is going to see a boost in popularity because they seem to at least be trying to do something? sorry for the long sentence but I can’t imagine any other reason for the boost....
um how aer they screwing up in Nevada other than a tea party favorite winning the nomination?
As of June 9th on Rasmussen:
“Republican Marco Rubio and Republican-turned-independent Charlie Crist are tied this month in Floridas topsy-turvy race for the U.S. Senate.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Sunshine State finds Rubio and Crist each earning 37% of the vote, while Democratic hopeful Kendrick Meek trails with 15% support. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided.”
For those unaware, SideoutFred here didn’t get the candidate they wanted in the Nevada race and is projecting a dire result in that election because of it despite no polls validatin the position.
California is impossible to screw up because bad year or not the GOP IS NOT WINNING CALIFORNIA! Arnold only one because he was a massive Holywood star.
Florida is the only race where this poster has a point because the GOP decided to savage Rubio and only lately got onboard when Crist betrayed them. They do deserve blame for this one. Still I don’t believe the double digit poll result. I do think it’s close.
Not
Not good.
when was the last time the fl chamber of commerce did a POLL ????
i smell a push poll for boards members favorite scam artist.
Or in other words, Christ is the Democratic candidate.
Sure smells like a scam poll.
Told ya...the ballot box cannot save us anymore.
