Well so far everyone that works for Obama is a POS.

My expectations remain lower than low for this replacement that Obama hires.....

Here’s the real Mattis;

“When you men get home and face an anti-war protester, look him in the eyes and shake his hand. Then, wink at his girlfriend, because she knows she’s dating a pussy.”

Attributed to US Marine Major General James Mattis as he addressed
the Marines of 1st Marine Division prior to commencement of
combat operations in support of Iraqi Freedom.

NBC’s Chuck Todd says he has it from a senior aide that “There is a path for Gen. McCrystal to save his job; everything depends on how the meeting w/POTUS goes tomorrow morning.”

Mattis led the 1st Marine Division across the Diyala into Baghdad in April 2003. He’s a heck of a commander but I think he would do poorly under Gates and Obama since he does not suffer fools lightly.

The resignation has not been accepted yet. Obama said he’ll decide after meeting with McChrystal tomorrow.

Forget it, they won’t pick Mattis...it will be Lieutenant General William Caldwell.

“Caldwell attended Hargrave Military Academy, a military high school in Chatham Virginia. From there, he was accepted to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. After graduation from West Point in 1976, Caldwell served in posts throughout the country and overseas. He continued his education with a master’s degree in systems technology from the U. S. Naval Post Graduate School and then a master of military arts and sciences from the School for Advanced Military Studies which is part of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. Lt. Gen. Caldwell has also attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government and Harvard University as a Senior Service College Fellow.”
*********************************************

Harvard, there’s the cherry on all that education.

What's he gonna do, tell him he can't quit and order him back to Afghanistan?

Accepting this resignation is a mistake on Obama’s part, but par for the course for one with such a huge ego. First, it will allow the general to unload his criticisms of this administration to anyone who will hear them. Second, Obama now owns the war, and all the body count. This is fine if you’re willing to do what it takes to win the war, but I don’t think Obama’s got what it takes.

Incredible. Obama is terrified of having to assume responsibility for Afghanistan.

So we’re going to let a stupid article by a stupid “journalist” in the Rolling Stone determine our policy in Afghanistan? Brilliant! And we wonder why we’re ineffective?

Yeah, you are right. But why for the life of me did McChrystal allow this guy to roam around as he did? Whatever you think of the Obama (and we almost all believe his administration is a ship of fools) team, McChrystal was very foolish in this situation.

Gen. McChrystal to offer letter of resignation

kmoxnews@kmox.com

WASHINGTON, D.C. (cbs) — CBS News has confirmed that General Stanley McChrystal has offered a letter of resignation to President Obama.

Mr. Obama has summoned McChrystal to a White House meeting tomorrow to explain derisive comments made by the General and his aides about the President, the Vice President and other administration officials.

It’s not known if the President will accept General McChrystal’s resignation.

I find it hard to believe that Gen. McChrystal or any of his officers inadvertently let these things "slip" to a reporter with a known anti-US military bias that worked for a magazine with a known anti-US military bias.

They had to do it to force a confrontation like is happening or they are just so disgusted that they don't give a flying #$&*.

We know that the General asked for, immediately, 60-80,000 troops or risk failure and that "commander zero" dissembled for 6 mos. before acquiescing to less than half.

We also know that "zero" waited for 4 mos. before a face to face 10 min. photo op "strategy meeting".

It is apparent that obama has never intended to win in afghanistan and has even told the enemy that we will leave in a year.

My question is whether the ROE were strictly McChrystal's, as implied by the White House, and if he actually believed in them or were they forced down his throat as the only way to get more troops.

I do question his judgement if he actually did vote for obama.
