WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says Gen. Stanley McChrystal showed "poor judgment" in a magazine story in which the Afghanistan war commander and his aides disparaged the president and other members of the administration.

Asked whether he would fire McChrystal, Obama said he planned to talk McChrystal face-to-face before making any decision.

So telling the truth is “bad judgment” according to the big fat 0 in the oval office.

Whmm the general asked for 70,000 men then asked for 50,000 men and what did BO do sent him 30,000 so who showed poor judgment here? If I had been the general I would of resigned when BO would not talk to him and then sent him only 30,000 men.

BO's judgement was so great when the police officer "acted stupidly", before he knew any of the facts of the situtation. Right?

Or when he didn't do sqat with regards to the Gulf oil spill disaster.

The General demonstrated low moral character, poor judgement, and complete stupidity by voting for a known Mooslime, Commie, Chicago thug, doper, who isn’t even a Natural Born Citizen. He doesn’t belong in the military.

I love it--wasn't it the liberals who kept telling us about, "speaking truth to power," and how, "dissent is patriotic?" Here's a guy who begged for FOUR MONTHS to get more troops in A-stan, and Zero blows him off. But 24 hours after some a-hole Rolling Stone article comes out, he's called on the carpet in DC.

Yeah, Barruh--you sure got your priorities straight, dontcha?

I actually agree with Zero that McChyrstal showed poor judgment.

Why would any senior military officer trust a reporter from Rolling Stone? It was poor judgment to do so. We’ve seen it time and time again, where some liberal reporter convinces someone like a military commander or a conservative politician to give him full and frank access, and then turns around and eviscerates him in print.

Sometimes I wonder if these guys are so convinced of their own awesomeness, that they assume that any reporter can only be convinced of their awesomeness as well, and that they are therefore immune from being savaged by liberal reporters.

Agreed. But if you read the article, which I did this morning, it was not so much an interview as a very short "imbed" of the RS reporter. The thing drips leftist claptrap.

I think he knew exactly what would happen. I think he wanted to get fired. I'll bet he wrote his resignation letter a week ago. Prolly popped it out of his briefcase when Obama demanded he resign.

This aint over.

I have read the RS article and have yet to find a quote from McChrystal that could be poor judgment. Most of the quotes are attributed to unnamed aides.

Could someone point me to the quotes from McC?

“Obama says...”

Hmmm...let’s see...the words of a four star general, with proven bravery and track record and a lifetime of service to his Country...

versus...

..the words of a punkass chump communist POS community organizer...

Yeah...in the REAL world, we know whose words matter.

What the HELL happened to my country...?

Obama...the “Chump-In-Charge”. What a pathetic sick joke.

This issue reminds me of the movie “Gladiator”. Here we have a general who has served his country through four wars and is a hero to his men. On the other side we have an unaccomplished manchild who know nothing about leading the country. To make up for his “inexperience” he attempts to buy the peoples affection by buying them off with “bread and circuses”.

Frankly, I have no respect for anyone who can’t abide by their oath. Nor any sympathy. The articles of the UCMJ aren’t really a secret, and someone in his position should know better. If Obama weren’t so scared of seeming as anti-military as he really is, this general would be courtmartialed and demoted.

How many here would have approved of a general who granted an interview to Rolling Stone bashing the Bush administration while we were at war? I bet the word “treason” would even have been rolled out for such an occasion.

There are plenty of reasons to dislike Obama - but if we start fostering and promoting a military that doesn’t have to follow orders, or is allowed to besmirch their commanders, or can just pick and choose what orders they can follow, where does that road lead?

This isn’t a movie. McC was STUPID!

He COULD have resigned over principle - but he didn’t. Instead, he set himself up so that either A) he has to suck Obama’s you know what because Obama graciously allowed him to stay on the job, or B) resign for a big mouth - not in protest of Obama’s handling of the war.

What an IDIOT!

The remarks by Gen. Stanley McChrystal is just a symptom of a larger issue or problem.

There are huge numbers of military people (no doubt the majority) who have no respect for “their” dear “demander-in-chief”. McChrystal has no doubt felt or heard the gripes from his lower ranks and is no doubt expressing the general disgust for Obama.

McChrystal will be chastised or asked to resign or will be re-assigned. But, the underlying issue of Obama versus the people of the military will remain. It must be hell having to follow orders from someone those people disrespect or hate.

We've got soldiers in harm's way and are not being protected. Obama is a disaster and is putting our men out there without military support. I am convinced McChrystal would not have said anything if this situation wasn't dire.

The stupid idiotic media doesn't give a rat's a$$ about anything other than saving Zero's precious hide.

Damn these people and this administration.

Now, the soft middle of the USA knows Obama is an idiot.

he obviously needed to resign after those statements as that is a no in military to so openly question the president, but i’m getting a good laugh watching the left in an uproar when they just loved and lived off any military or foreign leaders that disparaged bush.

zinni, shinseki and others were championed for their attacks on bush so i find it funny to watch obama have to deal with this. obviously mccrystal had to step down after that, but i love the turnabout. obama is a domestic enemy so i don’t consider it treason. the demon party are a bunch of treasonous ba—ards at the helm.
