Oil was again gushing uncontrollably from the BP spill site on Wednesday after the company was forced to remove the containment cap when a robotic submarine hit a vent. The news came as officials also reported two deaths in the response effort.
BP hoped to reinstall the cap later Wednesday after fixing the vent and checking for safety.
Earlier Wednesday, BP said that Bob Dudley was appointed to head the new Gulf Coast Restoration Organization, which is in charge of cleaning up the oil spill.

First I've heard of this.
obama and bp are total fluster cucks.

I think Obama might be regretting his remarks mocking God...
These deep monsters need to be left alone to do the job God designed them for, to feed the shallow wells.
"Don't mess with Mother Nature!"
And on top of this the US Game and Wildlife department wants Louisiana to stop building sand berms to block the oil from reaching shore. We need to plug the @#$% holes with federal beaureaucrats and BP executives till the gusher stops.
“The deaths reported Wednesday were not tied to the containment operation. The Coast Guard said the workers had been involved in cleanup operations did that their deaths did not appear to be work related.
One death was a boat captain who died of a gunshot wound, a Coast Guard spokesman sai.d Further details were not immediately available.”
A GUNSHOT WOUND? WTH?
Oh, sorry, yeah, loyalty to the leftist unions is above all, I know.
My reaction, too! Was it Carribean pirates? Or maybe Coast Guard shooting someone for intruding into the forbidden area? I don’t think we’re going to get the truth anytime soon, because Obama has clearly ordered the Coast Guard to keep a tight lid on and keep everyone out, including foreign vessels trying to help out or even state barges trying to help out.
We need to get it back to gushing controllably.
This whole damned operation is about “message control” and not at all about controlling the effect of the gusher. They don’t give a crap about what really happens...only about how it is portrayed publicly.
Something seems foul.

Boy! They sure glossed over those deaths, huh? Not much was said at all. Wonder why??
I got a nasty chill just reading that.
Horrible things are happening out there.
people are losing it
OK - So a robotic sub hit a vent on the cap, forcing them to pull it up and now it spews uncontrolled.
And a boat captain shot dead, unrelated incident.
What else can go wrong ? (Don’t ask) .
Something very evil is going on in this government. I am beginning to truly believe this whole ‘blow out’ was orchestrated by very evil and powerful people in and around this administration. Now we have a possible murder of a boat captain being reported as if it was nothing!
It’s like we are living in the old soviet union!

Me too. We all need to pray that this evil and corrupt government is outed soon in dramatic fashion so we can save our gulf coast and country!
Really. Can it get any worse?
You are soooooo right.
That’s just what I was thinking. Such things are from God.
Really. Can it get any worse? Why did we ever elect GW? /sar
Maybe they weren’t seriously dead.

What?!
...after he counts life vests on the boat...
...and ensures the boat is seaworthy...
...and completes an environmental impact statement regarding the boat's fumes...
...and does a study on potential damage to aquatic life from the propellers...
...and consults academics to come up with theories as to what to do...
...and after all the oil runs out...
...then he'll fix it by Golly!
“U.S. Coast Guard Commander Chuck Diorio, a spokesman for the joint information center at the Mobile command post, said a boat captain who was working in the oil spill response died from a gunshot wound this morning.
“I’m very sorry to announce the death this morning of a captain in the vessel of opportunity program at Fort Morgan, Alabama,” said U.S. Coast Guard Commander Chuch Diorio. “Our hearts go out to his family and the Gulf Coast community. There are many facts that need to be determined surrounding this.”

hmmmmmm....there are many facts missing from this report if you ask me.
I’m quite sure it was an unexpected death.
don’t forget the mandatory cash donation
Unexpectedly dead though?
I am sure that is a very unnerving statement for the family members of Captains who haven't had time to call home in recent days.
You beat me by seconds!

William Allen Kruse, born 1955, was the captain of The Rookie, a charter fishing boat normally based in Orange Beach, said Deputy Baldwin County Coroner Rod Steade .
Steade said the deckhands were on the docks and heard a gunshot and went back on and found him dead on the “flying bridge.”
The boat was docked at the Gulf Shores Yacht Club & Marina at Fort Morgan, which is on the north side of Ala. 180 about 1.5 miles east of Fort Morgan.
Latest update on the radio says they removed the cap on purpose due to gas rising in one of the vents.
Wonder what happened in the second death? Can’t find any reports on that yet. Just the report of the gunshot victim.
Murder of a boat captain??!!
“further details were not immediately available”, is all I could find on Google News.
Positively Orwellian...
Suicide?
Between the deaths, the pipe blowing, and the report of burning endangered turtles alive, I’d say this is a pretty bad news day for BP.
What are we looking at? Is that gas? Oil? Flames?
The only thing I can find on the second death is over at the daily kook. A report there is saying that it was a swimming pool accident and I believe I heard that on FOX earlier.
According to FoxNew’s story 1 million gallons a day are leaking?
Before the problem with the containment cap, it had collected about 700,000 gallons of oil in the previous 24 hours. Another 438,000 gallons was burned.
The Ships captain was going to go public with what’s going on out there is my guess ...
It appears the best hope is in the relief wells. It doesn't appear stuffing the hole with anything right now is an option.
Well that amounts to 20,000 Barrelss which is what earleir predicitons were saying. However much that got away that was neither burned nor collected is literaly anybody and everybody’s guess. One could guess only a few hundred more barrels or something like an additional 70,000 or more barrels are escaping.
