Obama is scheduled to make an official 1:30 p.m. EDT announcement about the general.

Obama to promote Bill Ayers to head up the Afghan Conflict...
When Presidential ego outweighs victory, we’re in trouble.
I haven’t read the interview ... but McChrystal was dumb to go after the administration, and the administration was dumb to let him resign for it.
SnakeDoc
General David Petraeus is to replace him.
Obama is a thin-skinned pussy who should be impeached, tried for treason and sent to Gitmo to rot with his muslim buddies.
It is really a shame but he knows the UCMJ and should not have broken the law. Thank God he is not going to Courts Martial....he certainly could have.
If McCrystal had blamed Bush for the article, he would still have a job.
This is a classic example of Washington DC making a mountain out of a mole hill. No insubordination was committed. This is all about ego.
he sure responds quickly to personal and strategic criticism. just not to environmental disasters and your future.
Isn’t it a shame that an illegal alien, muslim, muslim sympathizer, and impostor can even be in the same room as someone with the credential as McChrystal . . . and to have that punk “relieve” him of command is such an insult to a loyal American.
When will this madness end.
Don’t think that idea wasn’t entertained at some point.
I feel very bad for our troops. They make so many brave and selfless sacrifices - including giving our lives - and America repays them by voting in Obama the clown. To the extent I can, I deeply apologize to our armed forces for this. although I did not vote for Obama, nd tried to warn many others not to.
...let’s see, a Muslin fires a general who complained about the WH complacency on the WOT. AN effective General who had his troops backing.....those same troops who now have to protect themselves under more restrictive ROE. Did we really expect any sort of different result?. Did Odumbo get his tee time?
George Bush is no longer POTUS and former POTUSs are not mentioned in Article 88 UCMJ. The President and Vice President specifically are mentioned.
Pres’ent DUh-bama is the one who should be “RELIEVED of command”. His own party said worse of him during the campaign...he asked one of them to be his running mate and filled cabinet posts with the rest. They were all far more critical than any comments attributed to the general.
My sentiments exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it just me, but does Petraus become the leading candidate for the Republican nomination in 2012 should he succeed in Afghanistan? Just sayin.
McChrystal should ask Hussein to see his birth certificate before clearing out his desk.
Did’t Obama hand pick him after he was elected or am I thinking of someone else?
Look for ROE's to be altered before too long.
Obamas General gets dumped, Bushs General returns.
Can Bush return as CIC too?
Your probably right but it would have been a horrible episode. I could just imagine it and gives me shivers. lol.
Regardless, what does this situation say about Obama’s leadership?
Like everything else Obama touches, this war is in chaos.
As Rush is now saying, Patraeus is replacing McChrystal. But, I thought that Patraeus was a liar (remember be-tray-us)?
He is no wet behind the ears neophyte. He did what he did on purpose. Let’s just hope we get the chance to find out why.
SOME QUESTIONS:
So, where is Gen. McChrystal going ? Is he retiring or does he get a desk job ?
How is Petreaus going to handle both CENTCOM and Afghanistan? ( and if he gets only the Afghanistan job, isn’t he in a sense, being demoted as well ?)
McCrystal now has standing to challange Obama’s legitimacy as President in Court if he so chooses to do so. If Obama isn’t eligible to serve as President, he isn’t eligible to relieve anyone of command.
General McCrystal, PLEASE go after him!!!
I cannot believe that we would allow a reporter from Rolling Stone to bring down our commanding general in Afghanistan.
But then again the voters are the real ones to blame for elevating a Marxist community agitator to be CINC.
“George Bush is no longer POTUS...”
REALLY?!!!? You are kidding me. I thought Bush was president! ;)
The media spin will be that Maobama is “tough” because he fired his main-man in The Stan over an un-flattering article.
Silly General, see what comes of voting for idiots? Patraeus becomes the super General now. Appointed by Bush, now Obama recognizes Bush’s superior judgement and hands him the reins. Patraeus says to Obama, all your authority belong to me. Shoosh. Obama is powned by two Generals in one day.
Good, now that we have taken care of the procedural bullshit, lets talk about what McC supposedly said and see if it is valuable.
1: Obama didn't know who McC was,2: appeared to be disengaged (code for being spaced out);3: Obama’s representatives, Holbrooke and the “Clown” of an Ambassador kept f—king up the situation in Afghanistan by working against the existing Afghan government;4: Biden is mentally deficient; 5: and most importantly, ours and the NATO troops, are dying because no one is paying attention to those who must fight and die for a “limp wrist, light in the loafers” duffer and part time president. I'm sorry McC maybe viewed as unloyal to the CIC Office but glad as hell that the information is out in the open. McC could have said: "Sir: It may sound disrespectful, but everything I said is TRUE and history should know it!"
The Boy King throws a tantrum.
Lincoln fires “MC” Clellen. Truman fires “MAC” Arthur. Now Obama fires “MC” Chrystal. What’s with the “Mc’s and Macs”?

Won’t the appointment of Petraeus make the moonbats go wild??? I thought they loathed this guy?
I did read the interview and I agree with your conclusions, entirely.
I smell a best-selling non-fiction book in the immediate future of Gen. McChrystal, just saying.
Retirement forthwith. You don't survive being relieved - usually ever - but NEVER when relieved of theater command.
Sorry, but I’m not able to find anything that he’s SAID that is against the UCMJ. Can you specify what he said wrong?
My reply was in reference to your comment on reaction if McChrystal had said these things about Bush as Obama continually does. As Obama is POTUS, Article 88 controls what cannot be said by a commissioned officer about him.McChrystal had to be dealt with. He could have been charged and brought before a general court martial.
yup. ego. when it comes to that Obamie will take a drop of water and magnify it into a hurricane.
“It is really a shame but he knows the UCMJ and should not have broken the law. Thank God he is not going to Courts Martial....he certainly could have.”
What evidence is there he broke military law? Decorum, maybe. Politics, definitely. But methinks you’ve fell for what is largely a non-story. If people are upset, he must have done something wrong. And since he’s who he is,l he should have known better. Except at the bottom of the controversy, there’s not much to it. Which is why when the MSM wrings its hands about the scandal you don’t hear any specific quotes (attributable to McChrystal). Just that bad things were said.
Read the article. I didn’t think it was a big deal. Though it’s hard to tell, what with the author’s rambling, slap-dash style.
“Patraeus says to Obama, all your authority belong to me. Shoosh. Obama is powned by two Generals in one day.”
Please lay off the 14 year-old lingo.
Please lay off the 14 year-old lingo.
Its 9 year old language, and I enjoy using it especially when discussing Mr. Skittles.
They do. Gen. Patraeus should watch his back with the Marxist in chief. Wouldn't trust him for a minute.
