IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Could Idaho get an all-volunteer state militia that's out from under any federal control?
A Butte County delegate to the state Republican Party convention in Idaho Falls on Friday got his compatriots on a committee to go along with the plan - at least on paper.
The idea must still win full convention approval Saturday.

Slantsman blog is buzzing with dips**ts basing right-wing militia kooks, redneck white supremacists, and all crazy gun owners in general. I guess they don't realize that, according to the Militia Act of 1903, if they're able-bodied men between 18 and 45,
they're already members of the militia! Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

My Dad was raised in Idaho...until he went into the Navy for 27 years...he always seemed out of place when he wasn’t at sea (which was most of the time) and had a VERY conservative philosophy...he was a sea going cowboy throwback to the old west and died before Clinton was elected, which was probably good, because that would have killed him.

What's all this 18-45 stuff all about? The best militia would be 45+ year old business owners who, let me be polite..., are not happy campers and would relish the opportunity to defend and restore.
