Vice President Joe Biden gave a stark assessment of the economy today, telling an audience of supporters, "there's no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession."
Appearing at a fundraiser with Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wisc.) in Milwaukee, the vice president remarked that by the time he and President Obama took office in 2008, the gross domestic product had shrunk and hundreds of thousands of jobs had been lost.
"We inherited a godawful mess," he said, adding there was "no way to regenerate $3 trillion that was lost. Not misplaced, lost."

I know plenty of people chomping at the bit to start working, building, starting new businesses, etc etc. Not one of them are willing to stick their necks out with Obama and the current Dems in charge.
They could start producing this week, and next week find out the Dems have said they have to pay higher taxes, the EPA has said they can’t even sell their product because it isn’t “green” or pay the carbon offsets, or their products are now illegal because of some new FDA restrictions.
I’ve got friends absolutely salivating over empty homes but they aren’t buying them...in cash...because their afraid the EPA is going to say they can’t sell them without dropping huge amounts of other cash to convert them to green homes.
Friends sitting on intent to lease contracts to start small businesses that they haven’t fulfilled yet because they know they can’t afford to provide health insurance, and can’t pay the taxes for not doing it either.
Another friend looking at some internet technology, but he ain’t dropping the investment unless he finds out if Obama is going to be able to shut it all down on a whim.
That’s just my immediate friends, a handful of them if they go could employ double to triple their number, but none are doing anything with the current government standing in the way.
